... Well, this leaves me in a bit of a bind. I've completed a cost assessment of the damage.
The repair cost of the sever was $350 AU which is the good news. (Yep, it's a really expensive PSU - It's why the damage was so well contained.)
Unfortunately, the UPS that was behind it is also gone, and the replacement of that is 1100 AUD. (Yes, we're talking 1400W continuous power at 8 minutes upon fallover as well as a full signal cleanout to produce a clean sine wave and a few other things - You won't really get it unless you have some head around electrical engineering to any level.)
Unless I get a miracle, I will not be able to provide anything beyond Catalog 4 for quite a while.
The server is back up and running, although I'm probably going to focus on putting various levels of protection back onto the server before I start purchasing MSP. Having several thousand dollars worth of equipment does encourage a bit of caution.
I generally don't like asking, but well... Yeah, given the amount of damage, (And how I can laugh it off, apparently) the Compendium updating will have to be shelved until well, I can put on adequate protections on the server. I'll be focusing on that.
For most part, the thread to pick up the compendium for im@s 2 DOES have a donation link you can use (And yes, I have asked for permission to put it there.)
If you want to throw a bit (or even just a valid code for MS point adding) I can work on compendium purchases and updating that as well as adding to the compendium new items. I'll isolate the funds and put a running total if anyone is interested.
At this point though, I don't see any progress on updating it for a good while.
This doesn't affect requests that can be filled, but it WILL mean that LOBM and Colourful Days as well as the swimsuits and other dresses will not be available for request.
Any requests that don't involve Catalog 5 or 6 I'll pick up as time allows.
I'm not going to guilt trip anyone into it (nor do I expect anyone to be able to help out) but I will say this - Those who want to chip in are more than welcome, and I'd be relieved actually.
