The 5 request rule is to just keep people from massively rushing and causing havoc with the request system as a whole.
The limit is outstanding at any given time. Namely, it's not 5 per post, but five outstanding at any given time.
This means your limit is calculated when you make the request, and is not released until I acknowledge of delivery or you remove the request via deleting the post.
It's elastic in the sense that if I get massively flooded everyone gets their stuff later, but flicking the odd request or two will have it seen to in relatively short order.
Errors made on my half are not counted towards the limit, for fairly obvious reasons. Errors are not acknowledged if you try tamper with your post AFTER I quote you, for fairly obvious reasons. You are free to alert me of an error on your end after I quote, but there's always the chance of it being too late to change.
As well, sometimes I will grant exceptions, but this is only in cases where the work needed to be done is acknowledged to take well in the vicinity of a couple of weeks and that I agree to take it on. Currently, only one request has fallen into this catergory (Namely, the tilt it 90 degrees and fake a im@s SP request.)
If you are a MAD producer, you will have had an arrangement with me to suit your needs. Generally they get piority attention, consultation and a few other things besides. If you see me state that I am not available for MAD reasons, now you know why.
Generally though, it will be project related, since most MAD creators don't usually need anything other than the odd refrence reel in general requesting.
If you are seeking for MAD grade footage, you will have to speak to me personally and make your case. I'm pretty good at calling people out on that one.
I don't expect any of the above clauses to really kick in until things get busy. Usually at the release of a new catalog.
