Well, I've been doing recording for a while, although I'm still working my way through im@s 2 for a while, and still unlocking stuff. I don't have that many costumes unlocked yet (Or Ritsuko for that matter *sigh*)
I figured I'd throw open what amounted to a closed system since I only supplied video to specific people.
Sorry to introduce myself quickly, but I'm the one who is running the livestream that's being hosted at Siliconera (
www.siliconera.com for those who don't know) and the livestream is at
www.justin.tv/illusionbreaker (Yes, I moonlight as a journalist, and consequently run on a schedule.)
Anyway, I carry a intensity pro, and (more oddly) a SAS, so essentially I can carry out lossless recording (Or more accurately, recording at 200MB/s It shoots out L4U video to about 16GB or something for the 2:15 it runs)
Needless to say, I won't be torrenting out that much data (it'd take uh, a few weeks straight) although I do send out USBs (64GB ones) for im@s L4U material, but only if they're sent to me via Post, and if you're not in Australia, that might get a bit impractical.
So what does this mean?
I can field all requests, as well as provide a preview prior to the production run on arrangement.
I also can set minimum file sizes and encoding rates, which means you're not restrained to youtube, zoome or any other online service. However, I only upload at 1mbit so if you start asking for filesizes of 1GB or more, be prepared to wait a while, assuming I fill the request.
You'd also have to either nominate either a file hosting service, or suggest a torrent I can upload it to.
I request all requests in this format:
Platform (L4U or im@s 2 - I DO have all the DLC for L4U)
Group members
Song
Stage (For L4U, you will have to specify colour of screens too)
Costume setup, by category. (I don't have a complete im@s 2 costume set, and I've yet to figure out how to upload the 400MBish for all the compendium I use for reference yet. Anyone want to help here?)
Other special notes (Such as lines to voice, by who, camera angles and the like - Bear in mind specific camera angles will require a lot of timing, and consequently lots of work.)
Encoding requirements - Youtube enforces a single pass 3mbit h264 encoding. If requested I can fire it up way beyond that (My standard is a 2 pass before upload, using a mp4 container), but as you can guess file sizes will increase dramatically.
Live demonstration required? (yes/no)
All video will be recorded at 720p as a bare minimum (I will not record in SD due to technical limitations), and when my recording setup is upgraded (I estimate maybe in six months - I am scheduled for server upgrade for faster encoding and more importantly, a move up to a Intensity Decklink Pro) 1080p60 will be offered as an option.
Please PM me (I'm hopeless with anything other than e-mail, since I work a fair bit) for any requests.
- Just a thought.
