Due to circumstances, I won't be able to provide support to this thread for a while.

I could throw in a bombshell, but I rather look on the bright side of life.

I expect in maybe two months I'll be able to make a shirt that says "I survived cancer" on it and be legitimately allowed to wear it. Yep, that hand issue I first contracted in January was in fact some rogue cells that decided to set up shop on the nerve and cause the rest of the hand grief.

I'm not very fussed over it (so be it, what else is there to say?), but I do hope you will understand the delays which will come from this.

On the bright side, at least it won't be 'off with the hand' although I'm told that ripping out the nerve affected and replacing it is possible (other option is, of course, scraping it off. I never thought I'd get a quick tutorial on tumor treatment in the space of 15 minutes and expect to actually understand it), so it won't be pain free.

Thank you for your attention, and if anyone is able to fill in requests in the meantime, please, do so.

Well, crap.

Bright side is that it's your hand and not anything on your organic insides. Sounds... like you've found out about it quick enough that they don't have to do anything real drastic, I bet the entire operation could go on with you awake (but drugged to high hell).

But yeah, on a serious note, I've got to arrange for one last medical scan (a MRI to determine if any of the growth has decided to go for a walk, which turn this silly sideshow into something I should actually take seriously) before they book me in. The MRI will also determine if they're more likely to try a nerve regrowth, or they just decide to go for good old fashioned hack, slash and burn.

I had surgery recently as well where they had to use general anesthesia. I'm not sure what to say except everyone here hopes for the best, wishes of Godspeed for Setsuna, who stands up for all flat-chested women everywhere! And fulfills many many IM@S dreams!

Maybe you could subtly let the surgeons know you're a critical advocate for sensible laws in Australia, in a sea of bedfuddled politicians, Setsuna can shine a light of reason! Give 110%!!
