Actually if you were going to do that, you should have let me know about the fact you probably wanted the video sent to you directly. I like people doing even the simplest of edits and other bits of fun, and I also like people doing it properly, so...
I always like fielding interesting requests, or more requests where there will be more creativity involved after the fact, and I want to see people do more than just watch it and go 'oh hey, pretty'.
So as a 'hint hint' apart from throwing money my way (which I don't expect anyone to have, or want to and given the track record of 0.00 showing up in donations, I don't expect to change anytime soon) go make interesting requests, or better yet, go MAKE something of it. Make a dent in the creative community and make it grow with little bits of user content.

I was thinking of asking for the video directly, but I barely know anything about editing in the first place, so I didn't see it making a big difference to me. I was thinking of attempting something for Yayoi's birthday, but I don't think I'm good enough do that yet.
I'll keep that in mind for next time I want to make something. Thanks again!

It's why the MAD/Special requests section exists - for more than just pure exhibition work.
Basically, youtube lops off half the frames (from 59.94 down to 29.97) meaning that you don't get to pick which half comes out, which in turn can lead to weird jumps and the like.
So yeah, you may decide to distribute in youtube, but I'd keep an archive of the original work in as high a format as possible - you may need (or want to) work on it later for other things.
Don't worry about if you're starting out. I've known plenty of people who've started out, so everyone starts somewhere. The hard part is of course, starting, and keeping on going.
