The Mandarin text about Takane says:

Takane made a wager with some wealthy businessman.
If in the end she doesn't manage to win the IA award, then she'll marry the sonovabitch.
I (as in, the author of the post) just managed to beat Jupiter, so I thought this wouldn't be a problem... but immediately right after that my expectations were betrayed (I think the author meant that in the end he didn't manage to snag the Idol Academy award with Takane's unit).

P: Takane, are you really going to uphold the wager?
Takane: ........

In the end (either the producer/Takane, it's not specified) cries while getting sent overseas (probably the producer, who is sent to study overseas after the 1-year production period).
This sort of ending really makes me think about and commiserate with Takane's situation non-stop.
I think before someone comes up with a perfect strategy for this game, better stay away from the game/keep the game sealed.

That fatass must be Takane's fiancée (or I think it is), but this is horrible! We can't let that happen to Takane!
(I think it's Takane who is being sent to overseas to get married.)

... as a side note, the fact that there's extra time given into making emotional storylines like this is a good thing. But it also shows that someone working for Bandai Namco is an emotional sadist.

Well, remember when I said about Jupiter being there so you'll be motivated to win the game? Apparently, that's not the only motivation you would get for you to beat it. Maybe, Namco knows how 'close' to the hearts the fans hold their idols, and they're using such emotions to get players to avoid the bad endings and get the good once, or risk mind screw.............Yup, they're sadists alright.

But if I see a dark fic doujin coming from that, I'll rage, man.....

Yeah that's what I thought initially too, but then I remember seeing something on nikonikoku_pon's stream the other day when he completed the game:

Near the end of your one-year production period, right before you attend the Idol Academy award presentation/audition, President Takagi reminds you that right after you're done with IA you will be shipped off to Hollywood. He tells you to find a way to tell it to the girls without obviously putting a damper on their performance.

The nikoniko commentators on nikonikoku_pon's stream mentioned that this is somewhat of an improvement over the first game, where they never explained why your idol production unit has to suddenly disband after one year.

What happens to RK in the ending/near the end:

Oh yeah, in case you're wondering, RK doesn't get shortlisted for IA. In that same meeting where President Takagi reminds you about being sent overseas, he tells a worried Ritsuko that he will renew RK's production period for another full year, and asks her to try harder.

Looks like we'll never get to produce RK ourselves after all.

Just finished Imas 2 last night with Makoto as the leader.
I didn't scratch any IA awards so got the worst ending, despite getting 1st place on sales charts.

Since it was the worst ending there's still much I need to do, but a few things:

- Jupiter, they are actually awesome. Problem is, Shouta get's WAAAAY too little screen time, he's very insignificant to the plot.

- Kuroi turns out to be even more of a loser this time around, fixated on an inferiority complex towards Takagi. He plays the role of a villain very well.

- The worst ending is pretty damn painful even if you manage to get nominated for the IA awards. It means what your idols worked towards for a whole year just became lost, and since you're headed for Hollywood, it means you can't support them in the aftermaths. The last mail you get is a nail in the heart.

I was hoping jupiter would spice up the game plot, but i guess i went wrong. They cant be used in S4U?

Ouch! Painful, I wonder who can get the good ending? I want to see it. (Can you tell me what happens when you defeat Jupiter? I'm dying to know.)

They are good. But c'mon, it's like they put in Shouta for extras and Touma for main story.

I think that has nothing to do with Makoto at all.

You need to finish the game with Takane.
