Maybe future Jupiter songs? Maybe they will get a CD! Because Project Fairy had 3 songs, and with those, Jupiter would have 4...hmmm. Either that or they're future DLC songs for 765. Though I wouldn't mind new Jupiter songs. DLC 765 songs seems most likely to me.

And I know...I tried watching Yayoi's true end and they removed it! *fan rage* NBGI, please don't look on Youtube...

--- Quote from: KIRBYSIM on March 02, 2011, 03:59:44 pm ---It is. Part 7 is the scene exclusive to the best/true ending. Parts 4 to 6 correspond to the good end, which was what I got.

I'll write up what's happening in Chihaya's scenario later today. It's fairly interesting although the ending is a little too... urk. Spiritual encounters and miracles for the win.

Totally forgot about this.

Spoiler for Chihaya's story:

Basically throughout the game Chihaya gets sick a lot. Which conflicts against her policy to work the hardest, go through the most difficult trials, and emerge as a true songstress. This is no love story - at least, not initially. For about 3/4 of the game Chihaya doesn't ever want to rely on you, her producer, if possible. And all your advances get rejected without even a sign of embarrassment.

In the first story event, she's troubled and comes to you for advice because her voice condition hasn't been very good lately. Then at about week 20+, she falls ill and has a fever and you go to attend to her. This is when you learn about her younger brother, who passed away 9 years ago due to an accident, for the very first time. There's also mention that her parents are divorced because of this, but for the rest of the game you don't hear about The Parents, at all.

When your unit gets nominated for the IA grand prix, Boss Takagi reminds you that this means you'll be shipped off to Hollywood at the end of the year. You catch Chihaya eavesdropping as you leave for the day, and she runs away from you. When you finally catch up with her, you find out that she's suddenly lost her voice, and so you take her to the hospital. Chihaya gets patched up and the doctor says that this incident was probably due to a mental trigger - like too much stress or shock, etc. You suspect it's due to the news of you leaving for Hollywood. But before you can mention it, Chihaya says that she's really been working too much lately and that's probably why she lost her voice. You suggest that she should have told you earlier about this; she didn't want to rely on her producer, so she kept the overworking a secret from you. The two of you make a promise: no more secrets.

Week 40+, she takes you to her brother's tombstone and shares with you more about her past. She tells you that losing her voice that night was not the first time; it's the second. The first was when her brother passed away. More talking ensues, before she makes a really weird request: that the next time she loses her voice, you have to come running and stand by her (or something like that). You answer that it's your job as producer but you'll be leaving for Hollywood soon, so you may not be able to uphold the promise. Before the conversation takes a turn for the worse, birds called "Tsubame" start swarming the place, and you suggest that these birds carry the spirit of Chihaya's deceased brother, and they're here to tell Chihaya that she's worrying too much. One Tsubame lands on your shoulder. Amused, Chihaya tells you not to move as she gets close and pets the Tsubame. She comments that the Tsubame likes her better than the producer.

Finally, the night before your Fes with Jupiter, Chihaya suddenly has a high fever again. You take her to the hospital, and the doctor accidentally let it slip that her condition has "taken a turn for the worse". You ask him what the heck he's talking about, and the doc reveals that Chihaya has had an inflamed voice-box/throat the whole time, which is the cause of all the fevers and the loss of voice. All the constant singing Chihaya has been doing since small has taken a toll on her health. The doc says that she will not be able to sing anymore; even speaking might be hard as it will hurt.

Appalled, you give Chihaya a lashing for keeping it a secret despite promising no more secrets. Chihaya begins to apologise, and that's when you have a flashback of pretty much all her story events - Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic style. From the time she consulted you on her poor voice condition, when she had a fever, when she lost her voice, and when she made that weird request in front of her brother's tombstone. You realise that every single time Chihaya has actually tried to tell you, but you kept steering the conversation towards getting better quick so that you can concentrate on the IA grand prix, indirectly encouraging her. You apologise to Chihaya for not realising earlier, and wants her to just stop right now. But Chihaya begs for you not to stop the unit's production, rationalising that the damage has already been done and one or two more songs (for the Fes) won't really make matters worse. You give in but makes Chihaya promise that the moment everything's finished she has to go with you to the hospital for a check-up right away.

So then you beat Jupiter and win everything at the IA awards. After all the members in your unit say their thanks and everything, you rendevzous with Chihaya for the visit to the hospital. By the riverside, the two of you have a quiet chat. She's feeling sick, so she lies close next to you - and because it's cold by the riverside and your body heat warms her up. Chihaya realises she will never be able to sing anymore, and she tells you to go to Hollywood (despite not wanting to go). She wants you to spread your wings and fly, in her stead (she compares herself to like a bird without wings). As she once again drills herself mentally that she will never be able to sing again, she gets tired and falls asleep.

You let her rest, and starts thinking about what'll happen to Chihaya now that she can't sing. That's when a Tsubame appears above you, and you hear a voice telling you "hey, big brother! Is it really okay for big sister to not be able to sing anymore?" This goes on for a while, before you finally admits that of course it's not okay! More talking with the unknown, disembodied voice before he goads you to say: "Because I love Chihaya when she sings cheerfully!"

Mysterious voice goes: "If that's the case, then I'll make sure everything will be fine. Take care of big sis, big brother!"

The scene cuts to the hospital. Turns out you took Chihaya there while she's still asleep, and while waiting for the doctor to finish her check-up you fell asleep. It's already the next morning.

As you walk towards the doctor's office, Chihaya suddenly runs out and, while trying her best to contain her shock and disbelief - reveals to you that she's feeling perfectly fine now for some reason. Her throat no longer hurts, and her voice is in perfect condition when she sings. She can't believe this is happening.

The doctor runs out too, and asks you in bewilderment: "just what the heck did you do last night? What did you do to make Chihaya-kun's throat/voice-box completely healed? All signs of strain and illness are gone! Just what did you do? If we figured out what you did then Chihaya-kun's case could be one that will hugely benefit the medical community!"

That's right, folks, a miracle has happened.

And so Chihaya is able to continue her career as an idol with her unit members. They bid farewell to you at the airport.

In the true ending cutscene, you return from Hollywood after one year, and goes to visit the grave of Chihaya's brother. You start talking to yourself (and her brother) about not having been able to take care of Chihaya this past year and other stuff.

Chihaya shows up and is shocked that you arrived back in Japan before your scheduled return. You kept it a secret from Boss Takagi and the rest because you wanted to come to the gravestone first and ask for her brother's permission.

"Permission to do what?" Chihaya asks.

"To take you to Hollywood with me, where all the best talent and learning opportunities are, where you'll have the finest stage to stand on and strive for the highest degree of singing ability." Or something like that.

Blushing ensues.
