Mine just came in from play-asia. I forgot how fast Fedex is. Too bad my new cable for the 360 hasn't come in yet.

Does the manual have any English? I assume you bought the Asian version, no reason to buy the  Japanese version if you're buying from  Play-Asia.

Yeah that about sums up a tiny modicum of the hate a lot of people here share for the postal system.

Singapore is quite small I know but a couple days is still good, here in the UK stuff from Asia takes weeks or over a month sometimes. Even within the UK the amount of stuff which just disappears or is broken or goes round in circles for a couple weeks is crazy. I was quite happy with the post while I was in SG. I'd be inclined to blame the organisers who posted tickets that close to race day, the sane option would have been to let people collect them surely?

Only at the end where it talks about connecting to Xbox LIVE. Everything else is in Japanese. It's still a pretty nice manual, though.

Yeah, that's true, either way the wait's not so bad. But since Singapore's relatively close to Japan I kinda feel a little down on myself for not taking measures to ensure that I get my copy as soon as possible. Like checking my email every so often to make sure I reply to amiami's payment email as soon as they send it, and stuff.

I think when one AmiAmi person posts, everyone else is about the same (unless you ordered something else).  Mine is still sitting in Japan.  It dawned on me that they were using EMS as well, so I probably won't get my copy in until next week...

Hopefully Vancouver won't hold it hostage like they've done to my other stuff (stuck in customs for a few hours...)

Never ever in my life will I use EMS ever again (if I have a choice). Fedex (and Play-Asia) is just so much faster and I'm not saving much. What really pisses me off is that the package is due to arrive in Singapore tomorrow late morning... which pretty much means I gotta wait till over the weekend.

The good thing at least with EMS for me, is that I never get charged customs or anything. When FedEx came to my door earlier today, they wanted 25 dollars. Though, I don't know how it is in Singapore.

I can sympathize with Sakura.  I think my Dad was grumbling something like he had to pay extra to FedEX when my J360 came in a few months back on top of the shipping we already paid to Play-Asia.  One of the packages I ordered from a different site, that used EMS, just asked me to sign my name so they knew I got the package.

I also get randomly taxed on some things I import from play asia (iirc, Dearly Stars DS, and some other CDs).  |: I don't get it sometimes.

For me, ordering things from Play-asia is a hit or a miss.  we'll see how AmiAmi goes.

But, for those who do have their copies from play-asia, did you get the Little Match Girl DLC card? (and the WS card I think that came with it).  Someone was mentioning it today in IRC i forgot who I'm really sorry that they didn't get it (because they got the asian version I think).

I'm no expert on shipping services, or internet shopping in general. Neither have I ever picked the FedEx option when ordering from Play-Asia. I don't think it's fair of you to assume that I should know about this.

Some people want it cheap. Some people want it fast. I wanted it fast, I'm willing to pay, but I picked the wrong option based on a lack of information. That's all, no need to be harsh.

And of course, I empathise with everyone who's unable to get their iMAS2 groovin' even though the game's already out.

I've not had any problems with EMS, and dosnt take too long for me usually. Stuff from play asia is really bad tho, takes ages for them to ship it, then its really really slow and takes weeks unless you pay a fortune for it.

And then you still have the risk of paying import duty on it (country / government dependant), which I had to on my xbox 360. The stupid part of that is that the driver turnes up and expects cash. Company dosnt even consider I was at work, fortunatly I had a decent driver and after I phoned up the office, paid by card and called the driver back on his mobile he said hed drop it off later on his way back. That was UPS I think.

Ah, Play-Asia, kind of a hit or miss with me, unless I get FedEx or something. One of my items took a whole month to get here before. ~_~

Mine has been 'dispatched from the outward office of exchange', not sure what that means though... My copy will probably show up sometime next week, which is understandable. Considering I live on East Coast USA.

Either way, probably gonna skip a class or two to get it at the door. Unless Dad is willing to stay at home for a while.
