I don't know of a "legal" place to read it, but here's a hint: The site from the people who also translate TWGOK and Bakuman.
Just for kicks, I'll list most of the manga I'm currently reading in shortened forms. Try to guess all of the full names!

Bought the first volume of Battle Royale today. Damn! It's hell of a heavy read!
I mean, I'm not very aggressive or anything, but I don't remember when a work of art made me feel hatred towards anyone, leave alone some fictional, undefined "characters" (their government)
*cough* Aside from all those mind break/sex slave hentai, but it's not really far from the characters' situation in BR (except it's sex, not violence)

I'm almost finished reading the book.  How are the manga and film adaptations (just the first film, I know Requiem sucks) compared to the book?

I was first time I actually tried anything connected to Battle Royale (I'm sure the movie is available here in Poland, but they just have relased the first volume of manga this month). Never read the book and I don't think I know anyone who did.
