That quote is perfect to describe Jupiter. Fangirls love them, some guys hate them (I've yet to meet a girl that deeply dislikes Jupiter), and some guys and girls think they're okay.

876pro...what 876pro? Who's that? ...JK. But yeah, sadly, it's likely Jupiter will get the same treatment as our friends in 876pro a few years later. Unless they decide to make an iM@S: Boys Side. >:D But that likely won't happen either.
They should assign a separate team to work on an iM@S where you're a female producer and you produce male idols (I think that makes it "Girls' Side"). I'm 99.9% positive they'd end up with the fate of the DS crew, but we'd have the game, at least...untranslated OTZ

I was thinking "Boys Side" as in because the idols are guys, but yeah. It would be pretty interesting to see what they'd end up with, and it would be nice because iM@S would gain more female fans. And take over the world.

It's nice that Jupiter will be in the anime, but since Ritsuko is a producer yet Azusa still has long hair, does that mean it's right before Ryuuguu Komachi was formed?

And admittedly, I don't like Touma with shorter hair...he looks...funny. First Yukiho's face, now his hair D:

I'm just thinking a la Tokimeki Memorial (where the Girls' Side version is the one where you date guys...but really, that's the only female-oriented dating sim I can think of XD) but yes, world domination is inevitable. Never doubt the power of a fangirls, NBGI.

I wonder how much of the anime is going to tie into the game...after all, if too much of the game's storyline is in the anime, like how Chihaya has some fatal throat disease for the entire span of the game until supaa purodusaa rabu cures her after 55 weeks, I think it might be a bit of a hassle XD

I bet if Ricchan/Iori/Ami/Azusa ≠ Ryuuguu Komachi in the anime, it's just because the animators didn't want to draw the Palace of Dragon outfits.

I think the most I want to know about the anime at this point is why Azusa's hair is long again...

I love this, it makes me think of Mitch Hedberg; "They either loved us or they hated us...or they thought we were okay."

Well, Jupiter is a part of the iM@S series now, whether the fans want it or not. They get birthday acknowledgement, at least...

Jupiter is kind of a step or a few beneath the female idols in popularity, but, of course (and NBGI probably knows this), giving people that don't like Jupiter a bunch of in-your-face Jupiter stuff isn't going to make them change their mind and like them D: I guess worst-case scenario is that they get 876Pro treatment in the future.
It's a good quote.

I understand...It's just that they were used to having Jupiter in their iM@S and I thought "Hey! People stopped hating them now, why not put in the anime and let's see if they accept them?" But....Noooo...Jupiter raeg starts yet again... *sigh*

That quote is perfect to describe Jupiter. Fangirls love them, some guys hate them (I've yet to meet a girl that deeply dislikes Jupiter), and some guys and girls think they're okay.

Why are you calling it "Boy's side"? If it's "Boy's side", then it's yaoi.

Yes, PSP ver. of Jupiter... (I want to produce them...so badly!)

But then, the Producer is male and that makes yaoi. *Me doesn't want more ToumaxP*

Nooooo! Touma got a new hair cut! :( (DO NOT- Wait...I still want him. *hugs*)

I'm just thinking a la Tokimeki Memorial (where the Girls' Side version is the one where you date guys...but really, that's the only female-oriented dating sim I can think of XD) but yes, world domination is inevitable. Never doubt the power of a fangirls, NBGI.

I remember another dating sim called "Storm Lover". (One of the character's seiyuu's is Touma! :D)
Maybe it's going to happen before the "Ryuuguu Komachi" thing?

I think if ever they made a iM@SGS, it would probably be handheld. PSP2, maybe?

Also, this conversation is really off-topic XD I know it -started- with Jupiter in the anime, but...well, that's the beauty of getting off-topic.

If Jupiter was produce-able in an iM@S game in which you were a female producer, then the yaoi could be avoided. Although hey, a Y@OIM@S could be a pot of gold for NBGI. XD

e game until supaa purodusaa rabu cures her after 55 weeks[/spoiler], I think it might be a bit of a hassle XD

The Palace of the Dragon outfits would look so cute in the anime though! :( But since the game has so many different endings for all of the characters, they might not have it following too closely to the game. Unless they did something like have a special episode from each character's perspective, but that would take awhile.

Maybe the animators just preferred long-haired Azusa? And a lot of fans miss Azusa's long hair too. I do, although I think her short hair is also cute. :3

I think it was stated earlier that the anime would cover events up to the beginning of the game? This could be fan speculation, but I'm certain Ishihara was asked this in an interview. Check old magazine articles, I'm sure one was posted here...

... maybe with a partial translation by me, I seem to remember doing something like that. That means it's probably in the main Im@s2 thread, which is Godzilla large.

If it covers events up to the beginning of the game, I guess it makes sense that Azusa still has long hair. As to why she cut it...I hope we get to learn that in the anime as well.

Just...Get back on topic.

I hope we could get some answers on those when we watch the anime.

Are we really expecting plot in this anime?  I wasn't really expecting much.

Personally I would prefer a light hearted comedy...but it seems like no one can make one right now.
It's gonna be hard for me to watch it if there is too much unnecessary drama.

I just hope I can understand it this time around.

As long as there are no mechs to be seen, it's fine with me. XD

It seems like a bunch of idols doing their daily thing...The plot may seem boring but I hope for something unexpected soon.

Yes, no mechs. I don't want any of those in my iM@S.
