I feel a pre-im@s 2ish feeling to this. Like how everyone debuted by themselves, how Ritsuko became a Producer, and how Ryuuguu Komachi came around and all that. (basically what Salem said)

ANN says Aniplex, which is still good. I'd be surprised if gainax worked on an imas project, although gainax and aniplex have worked closely together in the past.
