Her birthday is on Christmas Eve.
She changed a lot than before. (From "her former voice actor leaving" to "she's a lot stronger than before".)
A lot of fans in the forums support her. (Their own reasons)

Don't worry, Doriru. We (at least, some people) have their fave idols as their idol of the year (idol of the year every year sounds more accurate). XD
In my case, and I know I'm not alone, I was only voting objectively.

As a Yukiho fan, I still disagree with that. I will still forever miss Yurishii, and will always prefer her.
However, that does not get in the way of my Yukiho fandom. Yukiho is still Yukiho. I don't care about "character evolution" or anything like that. She will always be the same to me.
