Can't help you with deck suggestions. Here people play WS for fun only, no cutthroat decks since there's no tourney around here.

You said it.  The only WS cards I have right now are the im@s trial deck. Gotta buy these boosters to improve my deck construction.

That Yukiho's climax ability reveals both your and your opponent's top card. Don't forget. Its not anywhere that strong, but it's still decent. I'm still waiting for the release of im@s2 to really decide the usefulness of the cards.

And that Haruka with that new encore cost type? Its a waste it won't get the boost, but I would personally prefer having two copies of a certain Haruka assist in my back row. XD

Meta-wise, Haruhi and Railgun is, I have to admit, the two current strongest series.

Even till now, my opinion remains unchanged. iM@S is unable to fight even toe-to-toe with the newer series. The main focus seems to be huge tanking Lv1 characters, then advance/special summoning Lv3 characters at level 2. iM@S's greatest specialisation is advanced/special summoning, and unlike many other series, iM@S doesn't have really high power, strong field sustenance, or character shooting (send opponent characters to stock / bottom library / top deck, etc).

I don't live in Japan, but locally, I can tell that the more favored iM@S deck builds revolves around either of two cards:
気まぐれな 美希
歌の女神 千早

Also, Ai (Dearly Stars) decks remained common.

Its hard to decide which colour will turn out to be better as of now. If I were to say what kind of deck will benefit most from the older cards now, I can only say a Miki-themed deck. FOR NOW.

I'm only collecting now. WS is dying here & being replaced by vanguard. Even the stores already stopped stocking WS for some time now which is why i havent even bought imas 2 TD. 
In the end price matters i guess since vanguard is cheaper.

Yes i know that both player reveal cards but wouldn't it be better if you can somehow do something with it instead return it back? I dont know, at least give an option of put it back or put it at the bottom of deck. It's only a slight advantage since both of you will be doing it.

If it's about old cards that can be useful for imas 2 decks, :
Yellow is the worst. it stands and support itself but not much use outside the first expansion. Xtra pack yellow is negligible.
Green is probably the best. Lots of good cards in 1st & xtra packs.
Red also have lots of good cards but the xtra packs (Ai cards & Ai related cards) are alot like yellow, supports itself but have minimal use outside.
Blue, i dont play much blue. All i know is that lv3 chihaya is good  . The xtra pack blue is very weak.

It's all my own opinion, take it with a grain of salt since as i said i never play any tourney.

I like the style of WS and since it has a lot of my favorite titles I will be sticking with it.
Don't know whether or not to buy the im@s booster box or buy individual boosters. All I know is that I must have 'em!

I have hope that bushiroad will make IM@S2 somewhat competitive. I'ma laugh if they make Jupiter cards and they end up being the more powerful deck-types. /trolling

Frankly speaking, I rather not allow the shifting of the revealed cards. If players can shift the revealed cards, in my opinion, the advantage will tilt towards the opponent. The actual ability balanced it out fine, you still have some kind of, if only slight, advantage, while not giving any chances to your opponent to try and shift the favor towards him.

What my brother does is get a lot of support characters in his deck. He also focuses on using special abilities like side attacking without the soul penalty (I don't know if im@s has this yet) and one card which allows him to take his most powerful card out of his waiting room at the cost of him putting a card to memory and having the card rested.

I want to make a "girl with hair ribbons deck" using haruhi, im@s, and angel beats. XD

no, i mean you're the one to decide. Either both of you put it back or both of you put it to the bottom of the deck.
So if it's good card for the opponent, you can choose both players put it at the bottom. An advantage for you.
Imo, it should be like that since having a climax activated ability is hard enough. Most newer series already have many good abilities without needing climax.

Side attacking without soul penalty only exists in a few series, and you have to play one stock when you declare attack. I can only remember Kud Wafter's Lv2 having that ability offhand. iM@S series doesn't have it.
About that "one card which allows him to take his most powerful card out of his waiting room at the cost of him putting a card to memory and having the card rested" description, don't get you, sorry. I can only guess its either a Change ability at start of encore phrase (Koko from D.C. is strong~), or the Little Buster's ear-digging event.
That theme of yours can be done, Yuri does the picking up at Lv1, and Haruhi's Lv3 for the finisher.

Moving one card down to the bottom for the opponent is definitely good for him, the only time its not good for him is when his climax card is revealed instead. Simple. lol They might choose the "when it comes into play from your hand" approach, but then its gonna be a one-timer effect.
And a full red-yellow Ai deck? Interesting. Does it face stock or hand problems?

Anything instead of just put it back is fine.

Your deck, how to play it? i see many colors & 1 cards. 

My Ai deck's problem is not so great lv0 & nonexistant lv1. No stocks & hand problems here.
'I Want' is there for the free stocks it give & http://www.project-imas.com/w/File:SE04-16R.jpg is very good since she basically replaces herself or fetching a bigger level Ai to your hand when she's downed.

I play it like usual but when i reach lv1, i'll try to rush myself to lv2 while fetching lv2 Ai.
Lv2 Yukiho is there as backup huge beater. 2/2/10k at your turn & it's a common card.

We have a small scene players in Southern California. About 8~9 of us regularly play casuals. There are more scattered out to Norcal. If you're looking for players, there's a pretty sizable overseas Facebook group with a few hundred players you could try.
