« Last post by Hime Idol on June 25, 2017, 07:33:58 PM »
(timeframe – 22 years after the start of im@s anime)

Name: Tamashiro Shuichi (玉城修一)
Birthday: March 3
Age: 35
Hair Color: Brown
Eye Color: Blue
Height: 175 cm
Weight: 66 kg
Affiliation: 527Pro
Seiyuu: Miki Shinichiro
Birthplace: Okinawa, Japan
Current Residence: Tokyo, Japan
Occupation: Producer

Family: unknown

Nicknames: Producer-san, Jaaku (Jerk - ジャーク - by Yoshino and Yurika)

Personality Traits: Ambitious, hardworking, can be rather narcissistic, very distant with others, comes off as callous when speaking

Bio: Shuichi is a strict person, he tends to be distant with his peers but this is due to his workaholic behavior and status as a top producer. He is very much dedicated to his job and sometimes neglects his social life. His coworkers often remind him by inviting him to get a drink with them, which most of the time he declines. He is very astute and an observer of human behavior and an excellent producer because he relies on data more than intuition. He comes off as somewhat rigid when it comes to his work. He doesn’t mind the company of others, but he also doesn’t mind solitude, and even though he comes off as distant, he’s not completely devoid of emotion and is able to express happiness very rarely. He is somewhat dense when it comes to love, but isn’t so oblivious that he doesn’t figure it out eventually.

Despite the occupation he chose for himself Shuichi appears neither helpful nor interested in any other fate than his own at the first glance. He stubbornly works his way towards his goals, even though sometimes he might end up hurting others to achieve these; hardly ever on purpose, however.

He takes his actions into account and knows others may perceive him as cold and distant, even as selfish and he does not mind being referred to as such. People need his skills and not a friendly attitude, as he has stated. He accepted his reputation of a ‘coldhearted producer’ and may seem surprised and distrustful when people happen to see him in a different light.

In fact Shuichi is an extremely distrustful person, hardly ever allowing himself to grow attached to others, more or less consciously pushing them away to avoid the forming of bonds. Even without his distant attitude he isn’t exactly the easiest individual to be around, especially due to how blunt he can be and how intrusive his questions might become when searching for an answer.

•   Despite being born in Okinawa, Shuichi doesn’t speak with a dialect as he moved away when he was still very young though he has a slightly tanner complexion than the other characters.
•   If it came between furthering his career or his idols’ careers, he will always choose himself first.
•   Shuichi does not like producing idols, feeling that it is beneath him. His main goal is to someday work at a major production company and produce actual singers and performers.
•   Shuichi produces the idols in the units Eko Ojo (Hanako and Yoshino) and Akuma no Tsume (Yurika - sans Risako as she is produced by Maeko).

I also have school and I don't have wifi to open Discord and continue with the chapter. Please bear with me and thank you very much for your support.

I think main 765 is getting stale at this point in terms of their personalities and especially their overall storylines.

I definitely agree with the point about their personalities and storylines, there's only so much they can do with Chihaya and her little brother. Hopefully we get event stories in Theater Days like in Starlight Stage and we can see more unique stories for main 765. I always wondered why there wasn't a real true story in Platinum Stars; I guess they just ran out of ideas?

My unpopular opinion: I think the 2011 anime did extremely well in what all anime adaptations are supposed to do; advertise the original source. In the end, all adaptations are simply ads for the source work (really well done adaptations don't feel commercialized, however) and I think A-1 Pictures chose the best character stories to represent iM@S: Haruka and Chihaya (and Miki to an extent). Of course, you have the typical viewer who isn't going to check out what iM@S has to offer and it kinda ruins the whole point, but I dunno, I actually love it when anime adaptations pull off their own little exclusive storyline. It treats the people who know the source work, prevents spoilers from those who know the source work, and if it's well done, it's a plus for everybody. 2011's take on Chihaya's route was perfectly executed and it was definitely a highlight for idol anime for me.

In fact I'd go so far as to say the second cour is one of the most well-done idol anime out there and that's actually me thinking really hard about it, too. It feels way less commercialized and "ok now that the anime is done go check out the games and music" like a couple of idol shows. To me I can feel the passion that A-1 put into the anime and idk it just feels like they really wanted to pull off an amazing show.

Kinda disappointing they dropped the ball on the movie, though :/ Cinderella Girls was pretty good so here's hoping they pull off a good SideM.

Not really an unpopular opinion if that's the majority opinion.

If you want an unpopular opinion, I'll give mine.

I think main 765 is getting stale at this point in terms of their personalities and especially their overall storylines. They really need either a game that advances their stories by taking place after they've become famous or have a game where they're either retired or so famous that they're not in need of a Producer like that anymore and thus are having to produce a new group of girls while the OGs are around to help you out as mentors.

There's little reason to believe that this won't be a rhythm game due to the success of Starlight Stage and how Theater Days is shaping up to be. It's only fair that all three iM@S Productions get a rhythm game. Plus how the 3D Lives are executed look very similar to SS and TD.

In other news, the game is officially coming out this year.
