Wiki discussion / Re: Why doesn't the wiki make use of templates more?
« on: December 14, 2016, 11:27:21 AM »
I remember creating some templates at the start, but yeah, creating the actual building blocks is the hard part, so copy-pasting became the norm at some point.

The endgame of templating is basically Semantic Mediawiki+Page Forms and becomes something like this which can basically be queried like a database.

I'd love to get there, but as previously mentioned, with existing content, that's a lot of pages to edit and probably something for a bot.

You can see all templates here. Templates specific to project-imas.com aren't categorized as such, so you can probably find them in Uncategorized templates. To begin with, we could slap a category to project-imas.com-specific, character and/or song templates to find them in the sea of imported Wikipedia templates.

Suffice to say you get my seal of approval if you want to factorize code and put in some order.

There we go, now on its own board. Thanks Okayu for poking me on IRC.

Thanks, ChocoCats.

Still on Android N, most performance issues seem to be fixed with build NPC56W. Had a sync issue in the middle of Orange Sapphire Pro, which was corrected by forcing a resync with pause/resume. Wasn't able to reproduce it.

PSA, if you have one of the Android phones able to run the Android N developer preview, don't flash it if you intend to play games with (somewhat) serious touchscreen timing like deresuta.
Like most developer previews out there, it's not 100% optimized, and has a number of performance issues.
That translates into regular tiny lag spikes that may even mess with audio and note sync, even in low 2D mode, which is an issue unless you're on Debut difficulty.

Tested on Nexus 6P and build NPC56P.

Other than that, the game seems perfectly compatible. Some of the others apps I had weren't, so props for that. And N itself is great.

In other news: At what level is Romantic Now unlocked? It's stuck in my head for some reason.

I myself maybe not, but I am that weirdo that doesn't use social media, so I guess I might not count. Unless there would be an RSS feed?

Same here about being that weirdo.

If that helps, Scotty has a Google+ community (and a PS community on relevant consoles) which is basically my primary means of communicating with the world when project-imas.com is down, outside Twitter.

Here I was, clearing my daily gachas when suddenly OH SNAP during the daily platinum gacha.

Just after I closed a game solely about catgirls.

Life is weird. But Miku a cute.

Sure enough, starlight.kirara.ca is a godsend. I was about to start coding my own. I'm lucky enough to have Hina's SR+, as there doesn't seem to be a lot of tanks.

Thanks. Now I can actually survive (some) Master songs without properly clearing them !

I'm running at 8, but I'll probably try cranking it up to 9.5. I turned pale when I played Trancing Pulse's Master (28) on low speeds.

Thanks a lot for the tips. Unfortunately, my Japanese skills are not just bad, they're nonexistent. I'm guessing the skill makes the difference between healer and tank, but is there a way to quickly find that out? Google Translate gets some of the job done, but when I feed it an idol card's screenshot, it fails pretty horribly.

Haven't seen the wide icon setting yet. I'm running on Android (Nexus 6P).

Edit: Welp. The garmerch wiki helps.

Still debuting, at that weird phase where you can handle Pro without issues but Master still mostly destroys you.

Going to reach 5k on this one because I like the song, but I'm not getting involved too much otherwise. I don't feel so good when I pick Pro and get three songs I never played with a high difficulty.

For audio, get a 3.5mm male-male cable, plug your phone's audio out in your computer's audio in, record (and listen) on your computer. Get the video stored on your device with whatever screen recording app, and edit them together. That said, I haven't tried yet. I may give it a shot later.

As far as I'm aware, there are no documented solutions to record output sound on Android, even if you're rooted; but SCR did get experimental internal audio recording as of last year (Website, XDA). It's not on the Play Store since Google doesn't like apps that break Android's permissions system. That might still work -- but it needs root.

Turns out I need friends for lowly materialistic purposes. Kuh.

Ah, not Iori Minase. Inori Minase. Name of the actual seiyuu. Not that Kugyuu is bad or anything. Now that you mention it, this is incredibly confusing.

Recently, she voiced Hestia (Danmachi), Chino (Gochiusa, S2 currently airing) and Carol (Symphogear GX).

I read the wiki writeup. I don't think I'm missing much. As you said, character relationships are heavily hinted at if not outright told, and the story of Ra Ciela is retold all along the game anyway.

The end of phase1 is insanely hype. This helped.

I think the time limit put me off. Which is a stupid reason in hindsight because it's not a hard limit to game over, if I recall.

In both cases I'm straight in the middle of the target demographic. Tried Ar Nosurge since I never played Ciel Nosurge or any other Ar Tonelico, and I'm not currently disappointed. I'm missing a portion of the story that was found in Ciel, but it doesn't hamper anything as far as I'm aware. I decidedly like the battle system, and synthesis, while somewhat important in terms of gameplay, is basically a glorified reason to add more character scenes, which I'm all for. Add in some (a lot of) songs and nice boss battles.

I-it's not that I like tsunderes, but damn if Inori Minase doesn't do a great job on this one. Cass a best.

I haven't given up on Atelier games yet. I'll get around to play at least Totori one day.
