Welcome Center / An Interview with Myself
« on: May 04, 2017, 04:19:05 PM »
So, basically, these are random, as in completely random questions, that I think when I'm bored. Also, this is a way to get to know me more as a person, and as a Producer. Damn, I wanna do this for a long time!

1. How does it feel when you first listened to Ankira?

Answer: I laughed. They're too cute to even handle and Kirari has just a soft spot because of her awesomely cute voice. Hate me all you want, but Kirari is my CG waifu! (She's just third on my main waifus, though. Chihaya is purely awesome, but not as perfect and exquisite as Takane.)

2. Why do you like 60 Minutes?

Answer: It was Lesley Stahl's interview with Steven Spielberg back in 2012 that really stuck on me. It was just a short glimpse, but it was Steven Spielberg. Then 2015 came, and I started watching it. That was when I really became a fan of Anderson that I started watching it. I can't remember what I first watched, but what I first liked was Lumber Liquidators. Then it came that when he does hard reports, I am in love. (Case in point: Le Pen)

3. Why do you think you want to become a journalist?

Answer: I vividly remember the memory, but not the specific time or date. I believe it was two weeks after my appendix was removed (I almost died) and 10 days before that, I was out of the hospital and immediately went upstairs to sleep on my bed. My parents said "It's a miracle!" but I missed my bed! I missed it so damn much I really went upstairs and Mom was surprised! It was on my brothers' bedroom/family room and I was watching a local CNN station and they were airing a promo plug and that's when I saw Anderson and immediately cried. Ahhhh, tears of joy. Then, the rest was history.

I'll update this as soon as I get bored. I'm not finished with Chapter 2 of A New Future! 'cause I'm damn lazy, so lazy you could almost compare me to Anzu. ;D

NHK just announced 100 of the best anime on its 100th anniversary special. Tiger and Bunny topped the list, along with its sequels The Rising and The Beginning, which placed second and seventh, respectively. Also in the top 10 were Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica, the Love Live! series, Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion, Cardcaptor Sakura and Osomatsu-san. THE iDOLM@STER ranked 66th. Some well-known series are also included such as the K-ON! series, Steins;Gate, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso, Uta no Prince-sama and the critically-acclaimed film and current titleholder of the highest anime film of all time, Your Name.

My comment: Yay! Our favorite series is in the top 100! (Mine include K-ON!, Hibike! Euphonium, Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso and many more...I guess.)

Okay! Now it's time. Set in the universe of the original series, a new idol agency is established. 946Pro (pronounced as kyushiro) currently hires their first set of idols. Will the agency start successfully?

The story starts with Karina Natsuki as she tries to apply for a position.

Kanji name: 夏木香里奈
Romaji name: Karina Natsuki
Age: 17
Hair color: Black
Eye color: Bluish gray
Image color: Periwinkle
Idol type: Passion
Image stat: Vocal
Birthday: August 13
Birthplace: Kyoto
Seiyuu: Aya Hirano

Personality Traits: a fun, adventurous person; committed to work but becomes depressed when talking about her parents
Nicknames: Kari-chan (かりちゃん, by the other idols), Karikichi (かりきち, by Aya and Sachiko)

Backstory: She currently lives in Tokyo and is about to enter college. She loves to sing and paint nature. Her parents died in a car crash, leaving her alone. She wants to get over her sadness by singing. One day, she bumps into Kirari, Shiho and Haruka, making Shiho angry. "Don't you dare come here again!" she shouts. "Hey, hey, keep calm. She did not do it on purpose, okay?" Haruka says. "Nyowaaa~ Let's all be happy-happy!" Kirari happily exclaims. Haruka asks her name. "I'm Karina Natsuki," Karina answers. "Well, you have a good name," Shiho admits. They decide to eat lunch with her at 346 Pro's Cinderella Project room, where she meets the other idols with the Cinderella Project, including Mika Jougasaki, Kaede Takagaki and Frederica Miyamoto, and some of the 765 Pro girls (both in the original series and ML), including Konomi Baba, Julia, Mirai Kasuga, Chihaya Kisaragi, Iori Minase and Ritsuko Akizuki. The room somewhat reminds her of her parents, and she runs away.

Trivia:
Karina has Aphenphosmphobia, which is a fear of being close to someone. This explains why she ran away from the girls inside the Cinderella Project room.
She loves to eat kakigori, even in winter.
She lives alone in her house in Tokyo. She is often visited by Kirari and Haruka when they have free time.
Ironically, she is best friends with Shiho.

As of now, the page of the anime has its episode articles shown in red, meaning either we can't find it or we have to create it. The episodes on the original anime series' article page has its own articles.  For example: http://www.project-imas.com/wiki/This_Is_Where_the_Girls_Start

Can't we do this for the Derem@s anime?

Welcome Center / Minna-san, konnichiwa!
« on: March 18, 2017, 03:46:39 PM »
Hi there! I'm Gioia (joy-ah). Call me Joy-chan, if you want. That's my name's translation from Spanish.

Anyway, I'd like to introduce myself as an aspiring journalist...and of course, an otaku.

Currently married to Anderson Cooper [in my dreams], watching 60 Minutes and a whole freaking lot of news, and anime are my hobbies. I also do calligraphy and advocate against fake news, which is very timely now that the political landscape is changing not just here in my country but around the world too.

I currently am obsessed with this franchise, and would love to meet others who share my love for journalism and anime.

Now, I'm about to complete junior high (Middle school, if you would like to call it) and planning to take journalism in college and work for [CNN] in the future.

I also have interacted with other CNN journalists, and some CBS News personalities. My most memorable CNN interaction was with Anderson himself. I have a pending invite to a local CNN station in our country.

As for anime, I loved K-ON! so much I discovered after iDOLM@STER that Ayana Taketatsu voices Sachiko in CG and Azusa in K-ON! (Yes! The exact same name as Azusa in this franchise, but different kanji). Also finished watching Hibike! Euphonium where Tomoyo Kurosawa voiced Kumiko. Looks like I have a lot of love for KyoAni as much as A-1. Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso also became one of my fave musical anime. Just in case you're thinking, I specialize on musical anime, but are interested in any other kind of genre, but not hentai. Anohana is a perfect example.

I love K-pop to a bit. I actually liked Twice because of Momo Irsai, who has a namesake, Momo Asakura AKA Serika Hakozaki. Also liked Blackpink.

But my top hobbies are watching news, anime, and doing calligraphy.

I hope to meet more people! Yoroshiku onegaishimasu, minna-san! Arigatogozaimashita.   ;D
