THE iDOLM@STER Stella Stage / Re: THE iDOLM@STER Stella Stage (PS4)

So, Shiika (Yeah, it's confirmed) VA is Rie Takahashi. I'm not familiar with her, but let's see how she do this.
I know her from Fate GO (as Mash) and she does an amazing job, so you can be relaxed, I’m sure she will make an amazing VA for Shika!

For everyone who doesn’t know her, here is miss Takahashi’s singing voice so you all can have an idea on what to expect about Shika.

The more info we get about SS, the more hyped I get. For now, THIS is what a “gift for the fans” should be (and not what PS was): Rivals, classic songs (ffs the fact that Taiyou no Jealousy will return to a main entry since 2009 with SP makes me fucking happy, I love that song and hopefully this means more classic songs as part of the base game or as DLC. I’m also pretty happy Relations is returning, if it was added to a medley then I’m guessing we’ll get the standalone song like PS’ medleys. Please bring Marionette no Kokoro, too!), an improved gameplay without stupid mobage-like contents like drops or costume rarities, the new board system to improve our idols’s stats, past DLC compatibility... it all feels WAY more fleshed out than PS was, and I’m honestly surprised they did all of this in just a year gap. Hopefully the game will actually be worth the hype.

I hate Kaoru, he was so rude with my dear Tsubasa... how dare he to mess with the sweetest cinnamon roll :(

And it's also funny since this CG fans don't even play CG mobage but play dersute because mobage is card game but they went and buy CG viewing revolution that have no gameplay

^Seconding that. I love Deresute and CG but I kind of don't like how the english-speaking fanbase became now.

Well....my unpopular opinion.
Not sure if "unpopular" but I must say it's something that lowkey bothers me. I don't like it when Deresute-only fans calls Deresute/Cinderella Girls as "Idolmaster", as in "I play/love Idolmaster!" "Idolmaster girls" "I want Idolmaster to be localized" but they *only* meant Deresute, not Idolmaster in general, or even the core 765pro Imas. As if Deresute is the main and only Imas game. Hahah- Probably just me though. I'm trying to get used to it but it still bothers me at times.

(Also I've seen a person who literally called Deresute as "Idolmaster" but Mirishita as only "Theater Days" and really don't know how to feel about that...)
Same goes for me. It may sound petty, but it honestly gets on my nerves. And apart to being called “imas” as a whole, it also gets pretty annoying when they call Deresute as a whole “Cinderella Girls” and ignore (or directly don’t get informed about the existence of) the original game. As a Producer that has spend a lot of time in the original CG, it is pretty saddening for me to see that the Mobage gets ignored just because its not “muh rhythm game”, thing that tbh was what made Deresute & CG as a whole relevant, because I remember Love Live! players in Twitter criticizing the Mobage back when the anime aired & Deresute didn’t exist yet because “it wasn’t a rhythm game”. I get not everyone likes this types of “tap & wait” games (I myself don’t play other Mobages & GREE games outside of CG, SideM and ML!), but ignoring them is pretty saddening especially considering Deresute exists because of the original CG (obviously lol). I didn’t see this happen with Msute/SideM and Millitheater/ML! that much (just two or three times?), but with CG/Deresute it has arrived to a point that it has become so annoying for me. And like I said, it may sound petty, but that’s exactly how I feel.

Yeah agreeing with this, they should call deresute as it is or cgss but  they keep calling it as idolmaster like it is the main branch of the series. Before deresute was release the fanbase was quite okay but now it became a cancerous fanbase.

Should also noted that the current CG popularity have destroyed the value of the original console game a.k.a PS making it a rhythm game with gacha and no communication with the idol  like deresute.
Indeed. The fanbase was small compared to now, but it was nice and not toxic (basically like SideM’s and ML!’s fanbases for now), but now it has become a mess. And the part about the original games being destroyed is totally true. Platinum Stars seemed too much like it was trying to be your usual idol phone game but in console, and that’s exactly why it got the bad rep it has. Hopefully Stella Stage will change that.
But hey! Not only did the CG popularity destroyed the games themselves, they also destroyed 765. I’ve seen Cinderella Girls fans (probably DeresutePs, as I have yet to encounter a pre-Deresute CG fan who hates 765) in game websites like Gematsu complaining about Stella Stage just because its “yet another 765 game, where’s my CG console game?!”. I honestly can’t believe they complain about CG not getting a console game when Deresute gets updated weekly, while for 765 games we need to wait months and even year(s) for them to release a new entry. Besides, Cinderella Girls’ cast is half unvoiced, if they want a CG game then why would they want the unvoiced girls to NOT be on it? They are also part of CG!

I want a male Producer in the Side M Anime

THat's my unpopular opinion
I second this opinion.

For my part: I think Deresute, as much as I love it, was the game that brought a lot of problematic fans into the fandom, and it makes me sad.

What I mean is, 20 is legally an adult in Japan. There is no way a 20-year-old and a 17-year-old can have a healthy relationship. If it was 23 and 20, then maybe. I guess I worded it a bit weird...I have no problem with age gaps in relationships, but when one is an adult and the other is a kid, then in the words of a very wise hedgehog, that's no good.
Oh, now I understood you and you’re right, I honestly think relationships till both persons aren’t in their 20s won’t work well, even though I think that if a 17 y/o wants to have a relationship with a person that is starting his 20s then there’s no problem, as the minor is just one year a way of being an adult (when talking about non-Japanese relationships ofc). The problem would start if the person is already on their half 20s and the other one is still a minor... so maybe that’s why I don’t see Hokuto and Makoto’s relationship weird (even though I myself don’t like this pairing), as Hokuto just became an adult and Makoto is almost an adult too in my point of view. Also, Japan is changing the legal adult age to 18 in 2021 iirc???

Anyways, like I said before, sorry if I came out as mean, that wasn’t my intention! I interpreted your words like you thought age gaps were bad in any age and I didn’t have in consideration Japan’s legal age, so in my head Makoto was just one year away of being an adult.

I'd say 3 years is a bit much...
You gotta be kidding me... a 3 years age gap, too much for a relationship? LMFAO! Not trying to be mean, but that’s the most ridiculous thing I’ve read. I’d say a big percentage of relationships (especially on seniors) have that age gap or even bigger. Ffs, there’s even a lot of couples today who have 20 and even 30 years of difference! How can you say a 3 year gap is too much compared to that?

As long as it is a Dearly Stars game, I’m OK with another iM@S game being produced for a Nintendo platform. If it is not a DS game, then I honestly pass. I’ve heard Nintendo and Bamco had some troubles back in the day at DS era, and we are still suffering the consequences, like the lack of Dearly Stars content (they’ve been reduced to cameos, with only Ryo actually being relevant nowadays thanks to his inclusion in SideM) or the fact that only one iM@S DS game (out of three or four planned) came out. I honestly can’t see iM@S on a Nintendo platform after this, unless like I already said its a DS game, as Nintendo owns a part of DS’s rights and the other three unreleased games’ names are copyrighted so it could happen that, with a little bit of luck, they bring those games back for either the Switch or the 3DS.

Well, after some days with the game released, I want to know what's everyone's thoughts about it! And did you play it a lot?   ;D

For my part, I wrote a long critique in a comment on a reddit post in case someone wants to check what I think about it. There are a few good and bas things I left out because I was lazy to continue writing, but for the big part, that's what I think about the game so far.

TL;DR version would be that I think the game looks more like a Early Access more than a finished product. It has lots of bugs (even with the daily login, yikes), a kinda bad organized UI, slow Producer level up (and lack of Producer Rank) and the fact that there's no MV mode and the 10 draw gacha won't give you at least 1 SR (two basic things for every iM@S game, the ability to watch your idols dancing has been there since Arcade and the 1 SR with each 10 roll since Deresute) its kind of a bummer. Nonetheless this is SideM's rhythm game and I'm gonna support it as much as I can, but I really hope Scamco step their game up and start fixing things as soon as possible, because at this moment, I can say without a doubt that I'm not surprised. In fact, I'm disappointed with them and their treatment to my beloved boys.

What about you guys? Any good/bad things you've noticed during your time playing the game?

I P a lot of girls (and boys!) for each branch of the series, but if I need to go with my most P one, I'd say is Ai (DS, but I guess she kinda fits in OG). I replayed her storyline uncountable times at this point.

I think the motions got better for the accesoires
but some thinks (like the bandana) are still a bit stiff
I noticed that too, Michiru's bandana looked immobile in his shots, probably still not rigged?
I also think this game needs an antialias asap. Everything looks too rough, especially the model's edges.

In other news, I'm so glad we reached the max reward!!! Now, we only need to wait for more news.

Honestly I'm just not a big fan of, in Theater Days, how the girls never show their teeth for the Japanese characters with an ee sound (such as ki, shi, ri, etc.), resulting in a really weird mouth formation lol.
This has been pretty common in the iM@S franchise tho, characters in the main games (not only 765 girls but also rivals and DLC guests included too) never really used their teeth on i sounds (even though Scamco bothered in modeling their teeth as I could verify by ripping some of iM@S 2 models). It was not until Platinum Stars that they got their teeth visible, heck I remember being surprised by this on Twitter lol. I think it is more of a design choice rather than anything else, they probably just wanted the game to mimic everything from the main games including some extra and minor details like this one. Idk, it doesn't surprise me that some ppl see it weird, but I got used to this after all this time playing the main games so that's probably why I don't see that as a big problem.

you guys need to keep in minde that the game is not finished yet
the sure will change a bunch of things till the release or as the game get's it's updates.
deresute wasn't perfekt at the beginning too
or any other mobile game
thinking about those mistakes now is only gonne cost your nerves
just wait till the game is out and then decide, if it is good or bad, if those things improved or not

sure it looks strange now, but maybe you even get used to it
I personally don't think that tey are too of...
maybe because I played dream festival for a time and at the beginning the models were really bad
but they fixed that with updates too
I'm the first one that defends the games till they are released, so don't worry, I know they will fix this hahah. I'm just pointing some of the weird things I see in the MVs, but considering that the 2nd PV they released on the 15th still had the "Graphics in development" message onscreen, I'm not too worried. They could've easily rendered the three MVs right after making the PV just to have them prepared to whenever they reached the goals and keep developing the game. I'll start to worry if I don't see any improvements on the videos/screenshots shown some days before the release, but I doubt this will happen at all.
