Title: Song differences based on Idols
Post by: swiftnissity on October 24, 2009, 07:53:07 AM
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SUVwSP7eWOU&feature=related (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SUVwSP7eWOU&feature=related)

I noticed it today, but when the lyrics in Kosmos, Cosmos get to the word 'haruka', the idol 'Haruka' smiles but the others don't.

Another difference is Suta→to Suta→
where the lyrics change based on who is singing
Ami/Mami M@ster Version: “n~fu~fu~”
Ami/Mami Game Version: “Jaja~n!”
Haruka: “Ehehehe~”
Yayoi: “U-uh~!”
Makoto: “Ikkuyo~!”
Yukiho: “Umattemasu~”
Iori: “Sa! Ikuwayo~!”
Chihaya: “Kuu!”
Ritsuko: “Ikimasuyo-!”
Azusa: “Aha~n♪”
Miki: “Onigiri! Dano!”
Takane: “Anata-sama…”
Hibiki: “Nan~ kuru nai sa!”

Are their any other songs where individual characters do something different/special?

Only others I know of are the idols winking on their color during Colorful Days, and Ritsuko being the only one who winks at the end of Ippai Ippai.

Yayoi seems to close her eyes happily ( smile!, like this -> q^ ^p ) at the end of "Kirame Kirari".
Haruka also closes her eyes (in cool way) in "I want".
Iori has a little evil smile ( like this -> q>.<p ) in "Futari no Kioku"

Generally speaking, every idol has her own way of singing and expression in each song with little nice details. This means there are at least 10 versions for each song in iDOLM@STER. This is why I like iDOLM@STER the most! XDD

I think Ami +  Mami are the only ones to wink before the chorus when they sing "mirakuru", in Suta→Tosuta→.

also, Miki says "onigiri na no!", not "da no" XD

In Agent Yoru o Yuku, aren't Ami/Mami pronouncing "tokashi tsukushite" wrong?

Yep, that's a famous one XD They pronounce it "tokachi tsukichite" instead.

Maybe that's why I like that song. XD

I have one stupid question.
Instead of saying the song name, in all DLC songs, what do they say in the beginning?
Like, before the Last Concert? I think they say "[blah blah I'll be performing/etc.]...this song!" and then it goes to the performance.

Watch at around 1:27 or so, when you hear the phrase "Haruka~"
Haruka smiles here.

Swiftnissity said that in the first post XD I think it's funny that Yukiho doesn't do anything in particular, but Haruka does and it's not even her song.

Well it's a pun since the word "haruka" is in the song and her name happens to be Haruka.

Oh, I know that XD Though I think each idol should've gotten something special in their own song.

I wonder if (when?) we see a console version of Overmaster, Miki, Hibiki, and Takane will do different things when their names come up in the song.

I suggest we should count how many nonowa are there (on Haruka face) in the L4U. I'm quite sure there's a certain amount. XD

In Mahō o kakete! Yukiho stops to close her eyes and pouts waiting for a kiss at 1:20, I don't know if the others do it or not, I think they just dance and carry on.

Edit:
Ok how about this.. she only does it on IM@S SP lol.
I found this which much be from the xbox game, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O-f-5aOuFs8 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O-f-5aOuFs8) but she doesn't do anything - again it should be a 1:20 but she doesn't do it.

I cant find a video from SP of Yukiho doing it, but she does it on mine and I'm not seeing things or imagining it :P

this hasn't been updated in a while...

maybe I'm slow, but I just figured out that in the L4U! version of Meisou Mind, Makoto is the only one who winks upon singing "message" in the chorus. XD

I suppose this kind of fits.

When using the Christmas outfits in Kami-sama no Birthday, the characters wearing mittens thumbs up rather than point due to the outfits (Haruka, Yukiho... Ami/Mami and Yayoi?)

Yeah I just did the song in Idol@ster SP and due to the camera angle I couldn't see her mouth clearly but her eyes are closed (unlike the 360 version). I believe you so she probably does look like shes waiting for a kiss :)

1:24 NONOWA!

She does it a lot in that song XD She makes the nonowa face at "Mirai wa naniiro?" too

I'm not sure if any other idols do it but Chihaya blushes for a split second on "Suki da to kizuita" in Me Ga Au Toki.

Haruka makes good のワの faces in Agent Yoru wo Yuku, too.

And actually, I don't think this was mentioned yet, though it's a basic one. In "GO MY WAY!!", on the line "dakara dare mo ga yume wo miteru", Yayoi says "miteru" differently (more like "mitere~e").

I tend to forget this when I'm making things in L4U and it stands out if I have the other idols sing that line as well...XD

Also, I don't know if this counts, or if I even have it right, but in remix A of Ohayou!!Asagohan, there's an "mmm!" at the end of the song in the BGM if you have Haruka somewhere in your unit.

More of a vocal thing. I swear Chihaya says "Here we go, here you go" at some point in Here We Go. It could just be the way she sings it, but it doesn't sound like "we" at all XD;

In Overmaster, Miki, Hibiki and Takane sing their own lines at the first refrain. It goes like this:

Miki - Yasashisa hoshii to omotteru?
Takane - Yappa anta ni wa takane no hana ne!
Hibiki - Koko ni hibiki wataranakucha

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7hbES2Dxn3g

They do it around 0:32.

In Kyun! Vampire Girl, as least as of OFA, Mami is the only one that closes her eyes during the haaaaaannnn~ part.
All the others just sort of squint/close it halfway. Probably to differentiate it from Ami's.

*Edited Note: I just checked Platinum Stars to see if she still does this, and they removed this little variant. So she sort of squints like the rest.

Oh dang, I can't believe I didn't realize that Project Fairy were singing their own names in Overmaster! That's pretty cool!

But all the other idols sing the song with the same lines in the same way (at least they all do in PS), so I don't think that'd be considered an individual variation.

yeah it doesn't really count as individual variation, it is just something columbia did for the m@ster version of the CD

Hibiki is the only one who winks at the line "Koko ni hibiki wataranakucha" in Overmaster. Here's a comparison of Hibiki's and Iori's for example.
