Hi everyone. I played this game awhile back and now I am looking into getting back into it. But this time, I want to actually know what I am doing rather than just throwing money at it.
I looked through a bit of this thread and found out that I was doing a lot of things wrong. Anyways, I have a few questions and hope someone can explain to me more about this game:
First question is fairly simple. What should I focus on doing?
Next is stat points, I read that I should have put all my points into Stamina. Should I use the stat point reset if I have a bunch of points in attack? I found that attack points were kind of useful. Also, curious as to how having a ton of stamina helps in this current(Dream Live) event.
The items in the star emblem exchange (cute/cool/passion type appeal bonus). Do getting these items make the other 2 types you didn't choose on par with your main?
Last question for now, I have a ton of tradeable stamina drinks. Should I trade them for a bunch of decently costed idols or use most of it on a really good one? I read over the post titled "Comprehensive General Event Team Members Guide - Cute Focused" on page 182 in this thread so I already gotten all the cheap attack buffers for cool a bunch of 17k+ attackers. Wondering if I should get a bunch of 20 cost idols around 60 drinks each or just blow all of it on one.
Hi, I barely play anymore but seems like nothing has changed recently so I should still have the correct info. Just do all events and promo campaigns, that's the best way to get stable income of drinks cause you can sell the event SRs for a bunch later. Recently they have been giving so any Platinum tickets i have like 100 now just from daily logins since i'm not even doing events anymore xD I'll open them all at once at one point~
As for stats while having some attack might be useful for some events (mainly the PVP ones like production festival), most events actually take a % of your attack disregarding how much it actually is, so having more attack is actually worse because you wait for like the 20% to regenerate much longer. My advise is keeping as low atk as possible UNLESS of course you want to contribute to the PVP (thats the only thing where attack number matters since you need it to beat the other producer's defense). For most of other events stamina is the most important thing and atk is % based from your maximum value (there is a maximum value it can take so at a certain point having enough attack could prove to be beneficial, especially if you are using lot of energy drinks, but even then the amount you can save on stamina drinks just compensates for everything else).
How stamina contributes to most events is that its the only way to generate free event drinks (outside of the ones you get daily and those that automatically regenerate), the rest of the drinks you need to win and stuff. However with stamina you can just do event work and randomly get a drink (it is not the best way to farm event points since it takes a long time to get the random chance so you will not have time to do this during like the 10 minute voltage boost (which is where you should be blasting all your consumable drinks), but it can help you to get to the next voltage without waiting for drinks to regenerate on their own or wasting consumable drinks.
Star emblem % will cap at 5% just like your producer bonus you picked at the start so yes you can get there, but it failry expensive and are emblems you could be spending on Titles or chat emoticons (fairly useless but they are cute and show off your love for idols
), I just got the other types to 4% since the next one is 200 emblems which Id rather spend on something else. Definitely get everything else from the last tab first, cinderella tickets, extra puchi scout medals, except the super trainers for 500 each unless you have a 22 cost idol and really want to get to rank 11 of their power.
You cannot sell the super trainer in the classic way but what you cna do is buy expensive 22 top idol with insane power and upgrade it to lvl 11 and well it that way. OR if you have 1500 emblems lying around for all 3 of the trainers, you can buy a lvl 11 22 cost and use all 3 to upgrade from 11 to 12 (takes 3 trainers) and then sell it for insane amount, but yeah only do that on latest and best idols with insane powers (so like 1000 drink cost SR+ idols on the day of release so people buy the 12 power for the event). But I suspect it will be a while before you can consider using 1500 star emblems xD
As for what to spend drinks on, if you got all the good value attackers just use it to get expensive cards for your favorite idol, I wouldn't use 60 drinks on a girl I don't find cute or particularly like, rather save it towards some 500 drink 22 cost of your favorite girl to show her as your leader to everyone
(And also setup some dank defense team sine thats what peopel will see when they attack you, like this http://i.imgur.com/Mnc4PCn.png
.. also during events you can setup a 10 idol defense team with just the girl you love, since defense team doesnt matter during pve events [well sure the opponents can get more points and rank higher thanks to not losing you and not wasting drinks, but still its kinda irrelevant as most people will have insane attack teams and you definitely wont have defense team to stand against that as investing into defensive idols is pointless, although they are cheap]).
So yeah I just spend majority of my drinks on Mirei and also have some 50-200 drink Rika cards because Rika is also cute so I just wanted to have her for her voiced lines... MIREI VOICE WHEN?!?!?!
PS: Oh btw one thing I forgot to mention, why stamina is super good is that not only you get the random drinks during event, but if you really need and have spare stamina drinks you can push stamina for XP and get a levelup, which restores all your event drinks, energy and stamina to full, with my 620 stamina and requirement for about 12,000 XP per level, I need to use like 10 full drinks to get that free levelup and free event drinks alongside those random ones, usually the ratio for me is around 3 event drink ticks per 1/2 stamina drink so having saved like 100 full mydrinks (or like 200 1/2 drinks) equals to about 600 event drinks, which would be pretty expensive if you tired to get them from gacha. You can probably get close to 2000 bonus event drinks if you save enough platinum gacha tickets and scratch for the drinks (the 10 scratch for 30 drinks and you get idols [so mostly rare medals] from it too), buy all the event stuff for rare medals and then use stamina in off time, which with a good team can get you to like top3000 without paying single ￥. Top 2000.. well thats a different story entirely xD Nearly impossible without paying.
Haven't played in like 5 months seriously so not sure how the competition is now but last year getting top 7k was pretty easy on most events to get that 5% chance for the event SR (those sell for like 200-400 drinks usually so lucking out on that is the best way to get quick free stamina drinks for expensive idols). During like the first year I was playing I managed to get 2 from the 5% chance and 1 from the 10% chance (top4k, much harder to get) and in the beginning I wasn't even ranking 7k, so maybe in like 10 months of ranking in top 7k. I also got 1 SR from the like 50yen gachas that you can sometimes get, those are usually good value as you get like 2-3 tradable drinks with it and if you get lucky eventually you can also get the SR xD Other than that as some here have talked before, sometimes to guarantee an idol you really want from gacha you need like hundreds dollars so if you have some to spare there is always that way xD
