Title: THE iDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls: Starlight Stage
Post by: MetalPredat0r on June 28, 2015, 03:28:04 PM
Hey guys, new mobile game!

Now before anyone riots, this is a rhythm game this time.

also there is a PV for a new cinderella girls game, cinderella girls starlight stage
seems like the love live SIF game

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6HNSwfi4DEw

Here's the official webpage:
http://cinderella.idolmaster.jp/sl-stage/

Pre-registration is happening right now, but two warnings.
1) Servers are apparently acting up and it's difficult to get in.
2) Region-locked. You gotta work real hard to register unless you live in Japan.

Good luck.

Wow. Another bad gimicky rhythm game. What a surprise.

I'll probably join , anyway, as a long as it's not that hard to get in. I managed to get past any region locking in im@s before, so this is just another challenge.

I managed to bypass region locking with Kantai Collection and Touken Ranbu so this should be pretty easy. I probably won't be obsessed with the game unless the difficulty gets more difficult and fun.

On one hand I'm not the biggest fan of rhythm games

On the other hand I love the visual style for this game and it doesn't look too difficult

Don't know anything about region bypass though

Basically it's all about user-agent and proxy tricks, nothing else... all you need to do is to fake up your phone as if it was a Japanese one.

I'm a CG fan but I think everyone that isn't Konami, some random decent Korean dev team, or a hidden gem like Rayark should stop making rhythm games.  I can't remember the last good rhythm game Namco put out besides Taiko no Tatsujin lmao

Not too big on rhythm games myself either, but I figure I'll give it a try. Atleast it's not another card game.

I'm not doubting that this rhythm game thing is due to School Idol Festival making more money than anyone ever, but I'm still decently pumped. I'll form my opinions based on what comes out, but I'm not pessimistic at least.

I literally have no opinions on this because we saw practically nothing about it. We only saw literally 10 seconds of gameplay, which isn't enough at all to judge how the game itself is. I'll wait for gameplay footage to come out for it (or heck, even play the game myself if I ever can) to see if I can say anything about it.

I'm not optimistic, I'm not pessimistic, all I know is that it exists.

Contrary to popular belief. This isn't actually a rhythm game.

This is basically a reflection when you hold up a phone running a Love Live mobile game up to an NBGI-made mirror.
And everyone fell for it.

Ahaha~

I make it obvious that I have an extreme distaste of CG. It seriously water downs the brand, and this game is no exception.

Sometimes people like things you don't like and that's okay.

I think SideM is a terribad game... So I don't play it. But, like, a lot of people like it so I let them like it. Because there are more important things to get angry about. Like... Sexism and racism and stuff.

Those aren't important to me. Sometimes people don't find things to be important that you may find important.

I think CG and ML is slowly killing iMAS, so I don't contribute to it in any way, apart from sharing my opinion on something at least once, and at most three times. I don't want to sway this thread into something completely negative, but the game is what it is. Totally fine for anyone and everyone to get this thread to page 200 with nothing but adoration.

Agreed. I'd rather this thread stay on topic about the game itself rather than go for 15+ pages of Mobile Game debates. We already had enough of those. :p

From what little we've shown, it looks similar to School Idol Festival but with actual 3D models performing in the background ala Shiny Festa, so it's more visually appealing than SIF.

Again, video doesn't have too much to judge on since they literally only showed 10 seconds of footage.

One important distinction is that while Shiny Festa's 3D models were pre-rendered, it might not be so for this 'game'. This is a completely different engine from any flagship iMAS game, as can be seen from the background blur at 5 seconds in. This could hint at what iMAS 3 might try to accomplish with its engine, or it could just solely be for this title.

The possibility of it still being pre-rendered is still there though. You never know.

Yeah, missed the YT link in the OP.
And yes, it already has more polish than SIF (which isn't hard, because you could easily mistake it for an amateur Flash game), but I'm still highly sceptical. Looks like it's designed for phones, unlike LL which looked more like it was designed for tablets because of the amount and placing of the inputs.

It probably is pre-rendered considering that those character models look slightly more touched-up than the regular models, which I'm pretty sure a smartphone can't handle doing real-time (Unless it can. not very savvy on smartphone technology). I think the best way to note this is comparing the models from that trailer to the ones from the G4U games.

I would not mind in the slightest if this is a sneak preview of how the visuals are gonna look for future games.

Now that you mention it, that's a good point. LLSIF's buttons are more spread-out which is great for a tablet, but forces you to stretch your fingers out when on a phone. Likewise, this looks perfect to play on a smartphone, but on a tablet, you really have to squish them together.

Maybe they'll have an option like spreading out the inputs so that you can customize it according to your device and see what setup is most comfortable.

I honestly don't see why they would make the backgrounds real-time. It's a rhythm game - it has to keep steady framerate; it's a f2p game - it has to run on everyone's and their grandmothers' phones, regardless of what the better ones are able to run.

Good points. Makes common sense, that and coupled with the fact that this is NBGI we're talking about, it's pretty likely this is pre-rendered.

Buuuuuuuuuuuuuut, there's also the chance of letting consumers pay for costumes, making there a need for real time backgrounds. I was confident this was rendered in real time, but now? Not so sure.

Now that you say that, it's possible. Though I also feel that costumes will only change depending on the song, like Shiny Festa did. It would have been cool to see it in real time, but as you said, it's doubtful because smartphones and Scamco.

My guess is they will have costume and accessory cards that are rendered ingame.  I wouldn't imagine them using pre-rendered videos unless they were using their better looking PS3 models and engine.

Why can't we ever have good rhythm games anymore

I'm reminded a lot of the Show By Rock interface:

Which is pretty much Tap Tap Revenge.........  I'm all for lane-based rhythm games but none of them ever feel just right and fun on mobile.  The last one I thought was decent was Deemo.

If it's gonna be prerendered, at least have the hair move better...

They could mess with people by having the touch points in different places throughout the song, and not just lined up at the bottom all the time. Or I dunno... having swipe motions or zig-zag motions or something. I doubt they'll go for that though.

And 0:08 Mio Nowano eyes.

Dunno, I'm getting mixed signals.

Quote
Quote
Hm I just tried pre-registering and it said "You cannot log in to this service from the country/region you have registered." I'm from the U.S.. So maybe it is region-locked for some people.
it'll say that but it should still send you a confirmation email
Quote
that's weird I never got one.

edit: well made an acct with japan marked as my area of residence so it worked now. I didn't get a confirmation email for pre-registration...but it says its pre-registered, and when i try again it says it already is. oh well!

Here's what I understand so far:

As long as you have a Japanese account or made one at one time (your region must be set to Japan), you should be able to pre-reg without any problem from your PC, phone, tablet, etc. You should get a message that says they will email you.
Then you wait along with everyone else.

One thing I'm not understanding right now is how the game will be available exactly.
I'm going to assume that for iPhone/iPad, all you'll need is a Japanese iTunes account to get it, but for Android you might have to resort to some trickery to get it unregion locked if it appears region locked in the Play store.

Partially true. A lot of the SiF players, including myself, play the Japanese version (some play both), and the English version uses bots for Score Match. I haven't ran into a single bot on the Japanese version because of how much players there are. But yeah, the reason why they brought SiF overseas is becaus the franchise is so popular, and there are quite a bit of fans playing only the English version. I'm sure Starlight Stage will get quite a bit of players if some company is willing to license it globally.

EDIT: That was A LOT easier than I thought. I just pre-registered, time to wait now lol. I thought they checked your IP to check your location but all I did was set my location to Japan. I guess I'll have a new rhythm game to play next to SiF.

I'm not going to strain myself with region unlocking. It's the reason why I'm not playing LLSIF: I'm not interested in the English version and the Japanese version is too much trouble to unlock. VPN? Neighbour, please.

Actually, (I'm assumng you use iOS) all you need is a Japanese iTunes account, which is pretty easy to make. If you search up instructions online there is no VPN needed. It took me around five minutes to set up.

They better be new solos. I'm kinda sick of every already voiced CG character only getting group songs and covers after their first image song. Ranko was the exception and I'd like to see more characters get something like that.

Apparently, since they're feautured in the first trailer and the full version of Todoke Idol, the main idols are NG and Ankira?

Also I'm guessing this is going to end up like DCD Aikatsu where you can customize the performers but not the audio.

I think CG and ML is slowly killing iMAS, (...)

Omo addressed the old codgers like that in his write-up of the 10th anniversary festivities (http://omonomono.com/2015/07/22/ims-10th-first-take/):

"M@STER OF IDOL WORLD, with translation, means this. When they announced those words some months back, that was the idea. Cinderella Girls and Million Live are engineered after the pivot, to take the franchise forward using its younger and more manageable members, with the large casts. In a sense this has always been a point of tension. How will the fanbase accept CG/ML? And by fanbase I mean the different existing factions, and not even necessarily all of them. There’s still people who are “producers” who don’t DLC, for example, who are basically a lost cause in a way (but can still be engaged), or those who were hardcore 765Pro from their humble beginnings. I think in that sense it is the one greatest challenge IM@S 10th seeks to address."

I don't know that the characters who show up will actually get voiced. It'd be nice it it happens though

That puchi office is customizable and looks fun and puchi Yukari and Sarina interest me.

As far as the rhythm game part goes I just want to go with easy mode.
And it looks like there's a camera button too, I wonder how much we can play with that.

It doesn't look like you can change all of the voices like Live for You or even having everyone sing in any combination. Anzu no Uta just had Anzu singing...

I was wondering about that, since having 50 idols record every song sounds like a whole lot of effort...

If Sarina and Chinatsu get their own models, that brings the count to 50.
My bet is that the other Cinderella Master idols who didn't appear will probably be the initial driving force behind the DLC.

And suddenly, the game has launched for Android on Google Play.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=jp.co.bandainamcoent.BNEI0242

I have no smartphone currently and no real way to play this but everyone else good luck!

Here (https://www.dropbox.com/s/n59eqg5ebddinil/jp%20co%20bandainamcoent%20BNEI0242_apkpure.com.apk?dl=0) is the link to the Android version of the game.  iOS version incoming soon on the App Store.

So I'm pleasantly surprised with this game.  I'm running it on a Moto X 2014 and even with the 3D visuals it's running a solid 60fps.  The game itself is much better than I expected, and the game doesn't lock you out of harder difficulties (besides Master) like LLSIF used to before the major JP update.

The master charts are kinda heavy on chords, but they make some good use out of the slide note mechanic.  Sometimes it feels a little like I'm playing SDVX :V

In short: It's actually fun!

With the sound booth room item you can listen to songs you've played in LIVEs. Using in game money you can buy new songs. when you buy songs from the sound booth you can use them in LIVEs.

Use the link sakuramaxx posted on the previous page to download the apk and install it.
Or you can download and install Qooapp (google for it, not from the store), and download it (an other games) through that.

you have to allow the use of apks in your phone settings though.

Wipe data (specifically /data/data/jp.co.bandainamcoent.BNEI0242/jp.co.bandainamcoent.BNEI0242.xml if you have a rooted device), play through the tutorial, then roll the gacha with the 250 jewels the game gives you. Repeat as necessary until you receive a desired character.

Do note that the game will redownload the entire cache with each reroll, so be careful about that.

If you want more SRs save up your friend points to do 10 idols at once. The two times I've done so I've gotten one SR each. I'm not sure if it's guaranteed every time but it's definitely a higher rate than doing less than that. If you see a crown page mark that means that one is an SR.

Alt costumes and audio tracks confirmed. Looks like the latter has restrictions though; you can do an Anzu version of Onegai Cinderella but not a Ranko version of Never Say Never, for example.

When you get an SSR you get a unique costume and a poster for your office room.

SRs also seem to have a solo of some kind, but I haven't figured out how to do it yet.

I don't think you have to do the Star Lesson beforehand.

I haven't upgraded most of my idols because I like them in their casual outfits in the office more.

star lessons only increase the money you get and something else when the corresponding idol is the center. As your center probably is a rare or an s rare where you don't have multiples off, they are currently quite useless.

Btw: i still don't quite get what the visual/vocal/dance is for, is it ever used or is just the total stats used to determine the points and the various stat types only matter for center effects (my kirari has "increase dance for all passion idols by 90% for example)

Does anyone know what these last three things I need to do are? (http://puu.sh/k1CWG/dad1239813.png)
Also whats with the pink text and arrow on the LIVE tab?

This one isn't exactly as important, but I was wondering if anyone else gets these really ugly graphical glitches? (http://puu.sh/k1CWn/96dfe579aa.png)
The yellow line is just the text collapsing, its the model that I'm talking about of course. I get this graphical glitch here and there , especially when the camera zooms out, on pretty much every stage. The Miku solo song has the most graphical glitches by far and the glitches always occur at the exact same parts of the songs. I'm running it on an old Nexus 7 (2012 ver.), so I'm assuming its just because my tablet is crud.

Also have a cute Rina and Natsuki-Rina-Mizuki trio

Send a friend invite (on friend page), change your introduction (on profile), raise your room item's level (go to your room and click on a desk/type locker, the hammer looking one lets you level it up)

It means when you do LIVEs during this time your money is increased compared to normal.

Wanted to add some info for those start rares i have... But i'm not sure about the best way to format their ability descriptions. Seems like they go in this pattern (for those i have): Cooldown, chance to proc, duration, effect.

While i'm at it. Is it possible to get rare cards as a reward for LIVE?

Edit: I couldn't add much, you already had the SSR and the 3 SR i have. All i could add were the info about the normal Sarina Matsumoto and Arisu Tachibana, you only had them with ??? as rarity and no info at all for some reason. I also added the skill descriptions of my SSR and SR. I'm not quite sure about one translation though: かなりの間, i translated it with "considerable duration"

Yeah. Emulator isn't the best solution, but it's at least something.
You can map simple touch gestures to a keyboard (you won't be able to use double touch gesture otherwise anyway). That'll be enough for first two difficulty levels. At PRO+ difficulties you'll need swipes, wich i can't figure out how to bind...

I've beaten most of the Master difficulty tracks, but they definitely aren't balanced around sight reading them. It's pretty much trial and error if you don't have a good team to complete them first try.

Also, I'd like to have a cache all data option like Fate/Grand Order so that the game doesn't have to redownload every time you start it up.

I have gotten a rare from the friendship gacha; It's a pretty low rate.

As for the room characters, it's hidden in the unit selection menu, the button in the top right. This allows for a custom set of idols to appear, otherwise your main unit will appear instead.

I've just found out there is an Album wich you can access from menu (rightmost button on bottom panel). there you can check any card you ever owned in their initial 1st level state. You can even re-watch heart-lvl-up scenes from here!

As for idol skill lvls. I managed to get it increased with veteran trainers. When leveling from 1st to 2nd lvl, if you add 1 veteran trainer you get 50% chance to increase skill lvl, with 2 trainers the chance is 100% (if i got that part right). To lvl it from 2nd to 3rd you'll need 3 veterans for 100% chance...
Not sure what this level does though, cause skill description didn't change.

Ya know guys, I just realized. Right now I'm playing Starlight Stage and Dragon's Dogma Online. So, is it bad when the two games you were absolutely pumped for are both free to play?

Does anyone know how i level up idol skills?

Think it's the same, if I'm remembering correctly. Lesson with an idol with a skill, and you get a chance of skill up.

I don't think it's around anymore, but does anyone know if max leveling your idol before upgrading her gets you more stats in this game? I don't think it would, but it wouldn't hurt to know. I did find a Japanese post that said probably not, but the comparison shots he put up showed that whoever ran their experiment is not too familiar with the scientific method.

Kaede-san, ROKKU tte nan desu ka?

Divide rock instead, and you'll find that it turns into itself and keeps going forever.

Has anyone gotten a Rare from friendship point/heart point pulls or Lives? I haven't gotten any at all. I mainly just want Kirari and Akane. Its taking me ages to gather up 2,500 rainbow gems for the premium gacha...
I've just got rare Mio (the same as the start one) from Live.

Do the idols' levels matter? The question has already been asked I think, but is leveling similar to Fire Emblem where you should level your units all the way to the max level and then promote them for better stats? :P
I'm looking the list of idols that I've acquired and I need to make some "transfers" to make room.

i don't think the moment when you do the special training matters, since in contrary to fire emblem, they are not reset to level 1, it simply increases their max level and gives them a small stat boost.
Their level matters in the regard that their stats get higher, which results in a higher score.

Should I wait until some time to do songs on Master? I do well on the rhythm game alone, but apparently I need a good team or producer level or something if I want to get a passing score on Master
Title: Re: THE iDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls: Starlight Stage
Post by: Naryoril on September 08, 2015, 09:59:43 AM
There is no "passing score". Even if you don't reach C rank score wise, the song still counts as a success and you get XP, fans, money and items.
And if you can do them, doing them at least once isn't a bad idea, since you get 50 star jewels for the first clear.

Has anyone found a tiara yet? And if so, where? From the cabinet in the office? Or from a song? If from a song, which difficulty?

Dunno if you got it already, but I just got one from the cabinet.

The drop might require some specific producer rank. Whats yours?
And there is a bonus wich increases tiara droprate for normal lives, so its definetely possible to get it there as well.

Title: Re: THE iDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls: Starlight Stage

a debut difficulty
Btw, is there even a point in doing higher difficulty songs?
Putting first-time complete bonuses aside, it seems you receive the same amount/quality loot per song no matter the difficulty (or is it not so?). You have nowhere to spend your money, exp and fans come, and they come in abundance anyway. Items-cards seem the only useful resourse to me.
Harder songs cost much more stamina so debut ones seem more profitable. Am I wrong somewhere?
Title: Re: THE iDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls: Starlight Stage

According to this (http://imascg-slstage-wiki.gamerch.com/%E3%83%97%E3%83%AD%E3%83%87%E3%83%A5%E3%83%BC%E3%82%B5%E3%83%BC%E3%83%AC%E3%83%99%E3%83%AB), it's just more efficient to use songs that consume 11 or 12 stamina points.

I'm not positive on items but if the drop rates are the same, then some debut or regular difficulties would be the best bet to use.
Title: Re: THE iDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls: Starlight Stage
Post by: Naryoril on September 09, 2015, 04:34:55 PM
well, i'd say the chances to get more and higher tier items is higher at higher difficulties, but that isn't backed with any real data.

Higher difficulty songs give you more XP (although you probably get more per stamina at debut, but i wouldn't be surprised if they change that soon, it doesn't make much sense), more fans and more affection. Fans are useful at the moment because some idols unlock additional communications at 2000 and 10000 fans (there is probably more to come in the future), and at least the 2000 fans commu gives you 25 stars. The affection isn't much of an issue though i think, even though the communications that come with an upgrade give you 25 (normals) or 50 (rare and srare) stars, the limiting factor are the item cards.

But most importantly: debut songs are boring as hell. I mostly play on pro.

It's a good thing this game doesn't have rewards for pulling all-perfects. If it did have that, combined with the stamina mechanic, it would drive me crazy. Also, the quest for at least an SR is so real as I definitely had to buy some Google Play credit for the platinum gacha. Damnit, Bamco.

If you wait until you have 2500 stars and then pull 10 idols at once, at least 1 SR is guaranteed. Including the 1000 star prereg bonus i could do this draw twice now.

Btw: The iOS Version of the game is out now.

Otherwise, I'd blame the lag on the iPhone 4 being old.

If SIF is any indication (which it probably is because the similarities are huge), then your best bet to get stars for draws are events which will be held at a regular basis (in SIF there is an event for about a week every 2 weeks)

You can retry for free after game crash or forced shutdown. Game asks if you want to do that at the title screen. At least it lets me do it on android emulator. I doubt it's any different for iOS.

Also, can anyone on iOS share their experiences with Master difficulty? The game has trouble recognizing my taps or something, and it's extremely frustrating when all that stamina goes to waste. Not sure if anyone else has suffered from this problem.

EDIT: Adjusting the speed definitely increases accuracy tenfold. I can't exactly read what it says, but I believe there's an option to set the speed of the notes to a default, recommended speed for the specific song. Definitely useful!

I remember extremely useful room item as a reward from the second panel though. The one wich gives you free trainers.

Btw. how many overseas players you suppose are there? I'm not sure they are even close to be a 4-digit number... So the percentage is like... 0.01-0.02%? =)

Middle row: left- Do lessons 5 times. / right- Do LIVE 3 times.

WOW. I LOVE the Master difficulty, even more than School idol festival's Expert difficulty. It's so hard because it forces you to memorize which fingers to use where; I'd say you'd even need to use more than two fingers actively in this game. It definitely amps up the spice of the game and I'm already obsessed with beating as much Masters as possible; I only beat two =P

I suggest you google for QooApp and install that (it's not in the play store afaik). It's an app that gets the apks from the japanese play store and provides them to you. It also lets you easily update already installed apps. This way you don't have to search for the new apk on the net all the time when there is an update, you just have to start qooapp and hit the update button for starlight stage.

On iOS, after doing one song whether it's either an MV or normal game, if I attempt to do a 3rd or even a 2nd song the app crashes when it starts to load. Even worse, if I scroll through the song collection page for too long, like scrolling past 5+ songs, the app eventually crashes. I've noticed that if I do one song and then scroll through songs a little bit, I can make the crash happen.

Really annoying, but I'm wondering if anyone else on iOS is having this issue.

What device are you playing on? It sucks you can't enjoy the game to its fullest what with all the crashes :/ I haven't experienced anything bad or glitchy about the game so far and I'm on an iPad Air 2.
I ALWAYS quit all my open apps to make more RAM for any heavy game (iPad Air 2 has 2GB if I'm not mistaken); if the game crashes when it loads, there's a possibility it can't get quite the amount of RAM it needs to run properly. I'm not sure why it crashes AFTER you play the first time however, or why it crashes when you scroll through menus, though :(

the 60 jewel star gacha is only for a payed jewel star, if it's not payed, you can't use it for the 60 jewel gacha

and cmiiw, you can only use the 60 jewel gacha once every 24 hour(timer resets when japan change day iirc)

other than that, you're better off collecting 2500 jewel star and do a 10 idol jewel star gacha which should guarantee 1 SR idol

so, does anybody know what PRP points are for aside from unlocking bonuses like jewels and other content as seen on my screenshot?
the value goes up but not sure what's it for

PRP (Producer Rating Points) are basically points you get proportionally to the score you achieve playing songs.
The more points you make in a song, the more PRP you get.
For what I've seen until now, they're not cumulative for the times you play (you get them only once when you reach a certain score) nor the difficulties (you get PRP for your best score, no matter what difficulty you played to achieve it).

I hope my explaination wasn't too confusional  :-[

Your total PRP equals sum of your top 10 songs' PRP. You can see wich songs are used in equation if you press a button near your PRP score. PRP for each song and difficulty stored separately and equals your score divided by 10k and rounded down.
Right now, aside from some jewel rewards, PRP are useless. It's more like your producer e-peen.

So after the maintenance and update with new cards, I'm getting a game-breaking error. For some reason, half of my idols/songs do not show up in my inventory/list and the game will not let me play lives or look at my office. If I try, the game gets stuck at an eternal loading screen. I've attempted to fix this by reinstalling the game several times, but nothing I do seems to work. The game was working fine on my phone until the latest maintenance was over. Can anyone please help me with this? I just want to play the game again.

Any guesses what this Ponkotsu event would be like? I've never played mobile games before, so have absolutely no idea what to expect.

well, Love Life: School Idol Festival has the following type of events:

1) you play songs normally and by doing so you accumulate a special currency and a few event points. You can spend the special currency instead of stamina to play the event song to get a lot of event points. In the end there is a ranking on how many event points you accumulated and you get rewards according to your rank. You also get rewards as you accumulate event points. Usually a special SR is the main reward.

2) You play against 3 other players on a random song for high score. Depending on your ranking you get more or less event points.

3) In the japanese Version there seems to be a 3rd type of event.

Since SS is very similar to SIF i expect something similar.

the 3rd even is called medley festival. you can choose  how many songs you will play with one stamia bar (max 3)
you can also buy boosters with the g you have, which levels up the exp and event points you get

The event started a while ago and it's exactly as the type 1) event i described above.

For reaching 10'000 (and 15'000) event points you get an SR Miho
For being in the top 100'000 people (concerning event points) at the end of the event you get an SR Nana
For being in the top 40'000 people (concerning event song high score) you get a room item (a bronze trophy, top 10'000 silver trophy, top 5000 gold trophy)

The higher the stamina usage of a song, the better the rate of special currency/stamina, given you can reach an S rank. So it's most efficient to play the type of song with the highest stamina usage you can S rank consistently.

Been leveling at a decent rate ever since this event started. Spamming stamina refills with my gems just so I can stay within the top 20,000 as a safety net to stay in the 100,000. Already got the first Miho reward. It's a good thing I can play Master songs unlike most casuals.

Still want an SSR, though.  :-[

That doesn't matter much actually. As long as you don't aim for top40k score-wise (with some usless junk as a reward) you can stick with pro and do fine. Farming Ponkotsu with s-rank pro or a-rank master is just 6% less efficient then s-rank master.
I myself do it on pro. Though i have nice cute team with SSR Miku, i play on bluestacks, so i can't do s-rank master consistently too.

Well, the SRs for Ponkotsu Android were leaked really early... So I wouldn't be surprised if this is legit.

Regarding the Onegai Cinderella, I'm like 100% sure that anyone who is a Cinderella Project idol or from the sequence during the first episode of the anime will get solos, since the audio already exists. So we'll see an Akane solo with her first SR, a Mayu solo, and so on...

Title: Re: THE iDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls: Starlight Stage
Post by: Cael K. on October 09, 2015, 03:42:34 PM
From memory, there are days for each type of idol (Cute, Cool, Passion). If you play any song of that type during the day, you'll have a higher chance of getting event idols.

And there are three new idols for everyone - Kotoka (Rare), Honoka (S Rare), and Halloween Shuko (S Rare). So on Passion days, your chance of rolling for those three are higher if you play a Passion song. The other thing that'll increase your chances of rolling for those idols is your center idol's Star Rank (and not everyone else's).

Every time you play any song, there is a chance to get additional event item, wich grants you either event SR or usual R card.
If you play featured-color song, the chance to get event loot is higher. Today it's cute, tomorrow- cool, then-passion, then cute again, etc.
Your center idol' star rank impoves droprate.
Song difficulty (or stamina used?) seem to affect drop rate.

TLDR: Play songs> have chance to get event loot.

Title: Re: THE iDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls: Starlight Stage
Post by: TheTanStar on October 10, 2015, 11:11:56 PM
Supposedly it was a glitch with the drop rates all coming from the S rank score table instead of the corresponding table for your performance. The lower rates are the "fixed" drop tables in effect.

until 2 days ago i dodn't have a single event SR, the game didn't like me for a long time, even though i played 18 stamina master songs on S rank with a 5 star center.

I was doing it with 10-star Mayu (she was stalking me before) so it might be the case.
Actually yesterday i realized i already have 10 Honokas, so i decided to burn some jewels to get her to 15-star (wasn't caring about it before). And got another 5 of them in ~20 plays!
Well, it seems star rank affects your chance to get SR as well, not just the event item.
Nice event, anyway, alot of free skill-level ups :3

Unless you're in a country whose currency won't get auto converted to yen, you can use your country's respective Google Play cards. Just don't think about transferring your game to iOS though.

Yay, acquired another moba I don't understand. I'll add that to the mountain heap of reasons I should learn the language.

For any Android players, if you were like me trying to play with VPNs and operator settings for hours to get it to install from the Play Store, you'll want to make sure the Google account you're using is set in Japan. This address (https://wallet.google.com/manage/w/2/#settings:) is the one driving the Play Store since they revamped it a couple months ago.

I feel really stupid now.
Oh, and if anyone else wonders, it seems to work fine with my normal IP and operator properties, and it doesn't seem to give me a hard time with root, despite what Play Store comments say. Nexus 5. HOLY CRAP MY BATTERY AAAAAA

It also seems to accept my Yuros through a non-Japanese credit card, though I didn't hit that button yet. PayPal isn't supported in JP Google Wallet.

Or you could just download QooApp on http://apk.qoo-app.com/ (http://apk.qoo-app.com/) (you might need to change a setting first that allows you to install stuff from outside the Play Store) and be done with the installation of Starlight Stage in 5 minutes and never even think of bothering with VPN, Japanese Play Store accounts and such things.

Or is that why you feel stupid?

And no, once you have the game installed, you don't need to do anything special, even if you want to buy stars.

And the game seems to eat every device's battery. I mean my phone lost 1% battery over night last weekend (9 hours), but just 1 song eats about 3%.

There's also a site I saw on /@/ that serves as a mirror for current versions of this and a few other, unrelated Japanese f2p games. So if you don't want to install yet another app that is useless outside it, although you lose the auto-updating (I assume QooApp at least does that?). Not sure if I'm allowed to post it here, so whatever.

Yes, I'm totally in the yurufuwa type of girls (also in real life) so Kaede is a must :)

Now that I know how to put in my money, my wallet is dead. Already put in 60 USD, lol. And I hope I can get Kaede. OTL I didn't get Nana in the Atashi Ponkotsu Android event (not that I particularly cared to), but I REALLY want Kaede. I'm ranked around 50,000 right now but I'm sure that will change quickly.

Hey guys,

Any idea who will be given Kaede at the end of Nation Blue ? I know it's points tiering, but just wondering if I have my chances or if it's not even worth trying.

(Yeah, that's totally the admin posting here for the first time in ten years)

Pretty sure it'll go to the top 100,000 players, right? I think that's how the Atashi Ponkotsu Android event worked with the Nana SR.

Kaede is rather popular, so if you don't play regularly, say once or twice per day consistently earning S ranks in either Master songs or highest level Pro songs including the event song, you might not rank at least top 100,000.

I was aiming for top 2000, but I realized that with school and sleep, that's almost impossible as I'm competing with zealous Japanese NEETS players who have all the time and money necessary to stay ahead. So, I'm hoping on top 10,000 at the most this time.

Yes

But playing once or twice a day won't be enough, if the first event of this type is any indication.
I kept my stamina from reaching maximum for the most part (i couldn't always since i was travelling on some of the event days) and i ended up at rank 108'000 or so.

If you always keep your stamina away from reaching max (apart from sleeping) that might be enough though. Maybe you'll need to use a few stamina drinks or gems to get some extra stamina.
In the first event the battle at the end was quite fierce though. I couldn't play for the last 5 hours of the event and i dropped from rank 60k or so to 108k.

Yeah, keep at it, and towards the end you can see if and how much you'd need to put into it in addition and decide then. I won't be able to play much from Thursday evening until Monday afternoon, so i'll probably be in a bad spot, but i'll try and decide on Monday afternoon.

For ponkotsu you had to play everyday without wasting much stamina to get into top 100k. Like 10-15 songs daily, depending on difficulty.
Kaede is a Goddess, so she is much more popular than some rabbit, so the fight for her might be more intense. And i'm pretty sure many were saving jewels for this moment. But i doubt Kaede's awesomeness will affect rankings below top50k, so 100k will be roughly the same as for Ponkotsu (less than 25k points).
Everyone (except those crazy top5 guys) get points at the same pace every day so in a couple of days it'll be easy to calculate how much you need for each place.

Well, it's a one-time chance to get this beautiful Kaede card, so i'll aim for top50k to get two of them.

Btw, here (jp wiki) (http://imascg-slstage-wiki.gamerch.com/%E3%80%90%E3%82%A4%E3%83%99%E3%83%B3%E3%83%88%E3%80%91Nation%20Blue) you can see cut-off scores for this event. They are updated daily.

EDIT: and here (jp wiki) (http://imascg-slstage-wiki.gamerch.com/%E3%80%90%E3%82%A4%E3%83%99%E3%83%B3%E3%83%88%E3%80%91%E3%82%A2%E3%82%BF%E3%82%B7%E3%83%9D%E3%83%B3%E3%82%B3%E3%83%84%E3%82%A2%E3%83%B3%E3%83%89%E3%83%AD%E3%82%A4%E3%83%89) is Atashi Ponkotsu Android data for comparison.

Thanks for the info !

Other question, are the drop rates in gacha very high for rare cards or am I really lucky ?

I got the SS Rare school swimsuit Minami Nitta out of my first try, and the S Rare Shiki Ichinose out of my second in the new premium gacha.
Title: Re: THE iDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls: Starlight Stage

Chance for SR: 10%
Chance for SSR: 1.5%

If you draw 10 at once the last card will always be at least an SR.
New cards have a higher chance to be drawn inside their tier, at the moment these are Minami SSR, Shiki SR and forgot who R.

So you were lucky, grats ;)

Btw there is a thread with game IDs of board members.

Also, mfw I'll never get this close again.

Geez, the end was fierce...

Half an hour before the end of the event the cutoff was at 21'000 points. Apparentely by the end it was a bit below 22'000.

I'm glad i spent quite some time (and stamina drinks, and 150 stars) yesterday to build a 3.4k lead over the cut off.
Due to work i couldn't participate in the End-of-Event-Madness. I could use up the stamina i was getting and sneaked in another 50 gems worth of stamina for security reasons (and it seems it was necessary), glad my pc was compiling/linking for ages for some reason, but not chance if i were just a bit ahead of the cut off.
I ended with about 22'399 points.

I just wonder why it takes so long to calculate the results. And i guess next time i will build a 4k points buffer...

22k is enough though, don't worry. And i'm pretty sure i'll land into top 50k with ~27k points.

It seems they are trying to find cheaters and filter them out. Can't think of any other explanation.

Even for IMCG events in general, it always takes until 12pm JST to determine final rankings; that's just how they do things. Do note that they don't have a maintenance period right after event conclusions.

right
Love Live has an one hour maintenance right after events, where they calculate the final rankings, Deresute doesn't have that maintenance, hence, it takes them longer, also they don't rush things, jut as TanStar said.

The Passion song will be Orange Sapphire, meaning the possible idols are Mika, Rika, Miria, Kirari (Prolly not, she just got a SSR), and Mio (Ditto).

Anyone know what this new event is about? It reminds me of the medley festivals from SIF, but with a vocal focus?

So now that the new event has actually started, can someone provide a thorough description of its workings?

Quote from: Shun
New Event starts now. Live Groove: Vocal Burst. The event song is Yumeiro Harmony. Event lasts until November 8th.

Medley sing where you're given 3 randomly generated songs to play and if you do well, you get a brand new song as a 4th Encore song.

During the medley, you will have to maintain a good combo and high score rank so you get a high Applause Level. If you clear all 3 songs and get Level 17 Applause, you get to attempt the 4th song, Yumeiro Harmony.

You need to hit Level 21 Applause to get to attempt Yumeiro Harmony at a new difficulty, Master+!

Points and ranking and decided by how well you perform in the song and idols with a higher Vocal stat will fare better in this event.

For Master, you spend 50 stamina to participate.

The unlocks for this event Yumeiro Harmony, SR Yuko Hori, and SR Yukari Mizumoto.

Event cards are psychic girl and flute girl for those who haven't played DereMas and only watched the anime.

From my experience, this event is VERY fun. And once you hit 5000 points, you unlock a brand new song to play whenever you want.

It's also really easy to rack up points. One Master run for me at A or S Rank gives me over 500+ event points. SR Yuko is unlocked at 10,000 rather than 15,000 this time around.

EDIT: HOLY FUCK MASTER+ IS HARD... It made me cry, harder than freaking Anzu no Uta. Damn.

So glad that Takumi was finally released. Always loved the idea of Natsuki, Takumi, and Rina in a unit and now I can do that in starlight stage. Just have to wait for Tomoe and Rena to round out my dream unit. (Rocker, Biker, Gyaru, Gambler, Yakuza quintet~) As a side note; another unit I'm really looking forward to making is Koharu, Reina, and Hikaru. (don't really care who the other two in the unit are. I guess Sana and Chika could work.) I've always loved their hero-princess-villain relation. Also Koharu is just adorable in general. As far as the event goes, eh, I don't really care about events aside from caravan since I don't have the dedication to play enough to rank high enough/get enough points for event cards.

Starlight Stage is getting a new song soon. It's called "Snow Wings". So my guess is that it's gonna be a Christmas themed song to go with the season. No clue on who's singing it though. (Hopefully not Rin,Uzuki,Mio,Kirari or Anzu)

Yes!

Yeah, and the worst thing is that song statistic is not counted=( PRP, FC, play count- you don't get any of it=(
And you have to play 4 songs in a row before going to bed or when you wake up (read: when you don't want to play) instead of one...

So true.

I wonder which main communications will be unlocked next? I believe we've finished the all main girls from the anime (Uzuki, Rin, Mio, Miria, Anastasia, Chieri, Ranko, Rika, Riina, Minami, Anzu, Miku, Kanako, and Kirari). I'd imagine its gonna be a cute character because the last two were passion (Miria) and cool (Anastasia).

Maybe Nana ??? (i kinda want it to be Nana lol) If it is Nana, I feel like Marchen Debut (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8hJ1BEv6hZA) is going to be a pretty challenging song.

Still debuting, at that weird phase where you can handle Pro without issues but Master still mostly destroys you.

Going to reach 5k on this one because I like the song, but I'm not getting involved too much otherwise. I don't feel so good when I pick Pro and get three songs I never played with a high difficulty.

5k reward is just for song early access. Averyone else will get it a bit later either way. Well, at least that was the case for the last Groove event.
Use moar healers and tanks to get accustomed to a song. I mean i've got a team of 3 healers and 2 tanks for the purpose of learning new songs. Try the same approach. Harder master songs might still be too hard till you get enough experience, but Pro should be a piece of cake.
Oh and have you turned on wide-icon option added with the last patch? It's great for phones. Changing notes speed to 8.5-9.5 helps alot too.

I'm running at 8, but I'll probably try cranking it up to 9.5. I turned pale when I played Trancing Pulse's Master (28) on low speeds.

Thanks a lot for the tips. Unfortunately, my Japanese skills are not just bad, they're nonexistent. I'm guessing the skill makes the difference between healer and tank, but is there a way to quickly find that out? Google Translate gets some of the job done, but when I feed it an idol card's screenshot, it fails pretty horribly.

Haven't seen the wide icon setting yet. I'm running on Android (Nexus 6P).

Edit: Welp. The garmerch wiki helps.

Trancing Pulse is one of the hardest songs (on par with Legne and Anzu), definetely not the best choice to start doing master lol. Start with those that have the least stars possible. Although it's a bit outdated you can refer to this difficulty ranking list: http://blog-imgs-84.fc2.com/7/t/o/7toriaezu/toriaezu6_356.jpg Those at the bottom are very close to some of the harder PRO songs.
9.5 might be too fast while you are still learning the song's layout, so maybe 9 would be better for the first time.
https://starlight.kirara.ca/skill_table is a good place to look for idols skill list. There is a filter at the top. Check healer and guard only, then look for those you have available. They are actually pretty easy to remember when you know where to look for at idol's profile. The structure is always the same: proc cooldown> chance to trigger> duration, (always after a comma) effect description.

If you're stuck on Pro because there are Master songs you can't beat this event (or because you can't beat them well enough to get an encore), and it's way too easy, I recommend doing songs with one hand. It doesn't make it as hard as Master, but it does up the challenge a bit, at least on a tablet.

Personally, I think the healing skills give too much back, but that might just be me. As long as you don't hit a OMG wall, it gives you way more during a song than Life Up bonuses. If you've got a horde of recovery/damage guard idols, Life Up only increases the number of mistakes you can make in a row by like... maybe two or something.

... And seriously, I gotta be the only guy who doesn't change speed in any rhythm game he plays.

Sure enough, starlight.kirara.ca is a godsend. I was about to start coding my own. I'm lucky enough to have Hina's SR+, as there doesn't seem to be a lot of tanks.

Thanks. Now I can actually survive (some) Master songs without properly clearing them !

Mika gets a chapter! So I think Nana and Kaede will be next, eventually followed by Nao, Karen, and Sachiko/Yuki/Sae (and anyone else who had a major role in the anime).

I'd say that it'd be great if Eve and Hijiri made it to the next event, but then I shudder to think about what you'd have to do to get them. They've both been historically elusive.

After all the money that I've spent, I fiiiiiiinally got an SSR through a daily pull...
It's Kirari, unfortunately

But, I'm thankful enough now that I don't have to be SSR-less anymore.
I'd like Kirari anyway if it weren't for her overly cute personality

There is  an increase chance for getting an SSR (3% instead of the regular 1.5%) starting today until the 4th, I believe. So, now would be a good chance to roll for one.

I got a SSR Mika!!! Was hoping for a Nana, but I'm still happy!!!

Decided to blow all my (free, didn't spend money on this) jewels on 4 ten-pulls, and my luck was kinda good... except for the first draw when I got the Aiko SSR for the third time and just one other Rare I didn't have.

I ended up pulling a Rin and a Sachiko SSR, and 5 SRs I didn't already have. No Uzuki, Yuki, or Kumiko though. ;_;

I kinda wish there were scouting points or something you could exchange cards for to just pick a card you want and get it. I mean, there's no trading.

Do 300 of them first before complaining. 1,5% chance isn't a joke.

For 4x 10-pulls your chance to get an SSR is about 45%.
And for example to get 95% chance you need to do 10pulls 20 times. Wait till you do at least that much to complain...

From memory, seven 10-draws should get you one SSR on average. At the beginning of the year, they upped the chance to 3% for a few days and I was able to get 2 SSRs from that...

... Then after it was done, a Yuki gatcha happened and I was all out of jewels. Dang it, baseball season wasn't even close to starting. Going 2 for 40 was probably good luck though, even with double the odds.

Also interesting, the chance to pull exactly one SR from the first nine draws is the same as the chance to draw none at all.

them tumblr players are crazy. I've had some success with my solo pulls (got solo SR Minami at one point, and got SR Sanae on two seperate occassions.. sighs.. ) but rarely anything like them.
Though I was lucky one day in that my daily freebie from the regular gacha ended up being a SR Frederica!!!! (<3)

If Syuko or Frederica are prizes in the new live groove.. I may totally be out of everything.. good golly.
Doesn't help that theres small potential in Syoko and Koume showing up in the next jewellries song events.. ahaaaaaa the life of a producer who loves too many idols is so hard.. :"C

New event is under way,  and I must say this event song "Tulip" is really awesome, its kinda on the harder side though. At least the song is fun to listen to.

Frederica and Syuko are the event rewards. Frederica being the ranking reward and Syuko being the points reward. I'll have to make some time this week to play, I like that Frederica card a lot!!! >.>

What do you all think of the event? Are you aiming for the top? Do you like the new song?

on my phone I just hold it in my hand and play but on a phone be sure to use the setting for phones which makes the distance between the buttons to press a bit wider.
but most of the time I play on my tablet...

I play with 2 thumbs, but I have a lot of experience with SIF (5 buttons? That's cake compared to 9!). The only problem I have with the game is the stupid sliders that go all the way across the screen. They are incredibly unforgiving. Then again, sliders in general have really bad detection in this game.

So, since this is one of my favorite things that idolmaster does...

Has anyone found any idol-specific actions for certain songs or just in general? Here's what I've found:

-During Dokidoki Rhythm, Rika is the only idol to have sparkly eyes, and as far as I know this is the only song she does it in...
-Kirari won't frown during a song. She only makes a >:D expression.
-Takumi has a specific face she does. It's basically (http://40.media.tumblr.com/83040f13d734e43842e22ab073e30ee9/tumblr_o1ezrp8yyu1qjj23co6_500.jpg) the face (http://40.media.tumblr.com/e5b10b3d27d9bb206226156e632b5e68/tumblr_o1ezrp8yyu1qjj23co2_1280.jpg) from her Valentine's SR+.

Ya gotta leave it to fate, but play for a long while and you can use those medals for pity drops.

You can help your odds by having a high Star Rank idol as your center (and only your center matters for this), and S Ranking harder songs. I saw a post that said SR drops don't get much higher than 2% for the more rare one, or 14% for the more common one, even when you're S Ranking 18 and 19 Stamina songs. 'Least, that was for the last Caravan event.

star rank really helps
I got tomoe SR from my first song I played during the event with my 8 star sr mio from the gokigen event
and the other two event cards with the following songs
I am now only grinding medals for star jewels xD

Edit:
After posting here saying I only grind medals now I got 3 tomoes, 2 Rinas and 2 tomos, which means I have a total of 10 Event Idols (I have only plaed the last two days) so another proof for the higher the star level the  better the chances for SR Idols

If you are already getting 2 event items per song ([1x card OR token]+[1x token]) there is nothing more you can do to improve your chances.
Your chance to get "normal" event SR is about 10-15% and for "rare" SR the chance is about 1-2%.
Things like song difficulty, center star rank or daily bonus color improve your chance to get "some" event item, but the chance of getting something useful (i mean SR) from it is predetermined. Also you can't get 2 cards' per song, the second event item is always tokens.
But with token system implemented it's not a problem anymore since you get something like ~5k tokens per event wich is enough to buy all cards x1, all jewels and stamina drinks.
Anyway, GL, i'm pretty sure you'll eventually get at least one of each girl while event lasts if you play enough.

I second that... I had a theory that they use the Idols in the way they had bigger cameos in the anime, but seems not like it...
I still guess the next chapter will be akane... because she was at the happy princess live and we have all other idols from that episode already

Predicting Akane for the reasons you said, Nana because she got a ton of development, or Sachiko because she's the member of KBYD who's the most popular and the "leader".

The Happy Princess thing makes sense for why Mayu got in so early. She seemed like a random choice too.

And now that I think about it, Koi Kaze probably is still upcoming because Your Stars Shine On Me is such a slow song and they didn't want two ballads so close to each other.

In other news I spent actual real money on a 10 gacha, and got... 9 Rares that I already had with the exception of Sakura and Ako. :'] But I got the Takumi SR so it's slightly worth it.

suprised that the new story is natsuki
I was sure it would be akane because of her early cameo in the anime but
well that's it for this theory...
they seem to just randomly pick songs...

I'm sure they have their reasons, from what I can tell, Fumika and Natuski didn't have a single song in the game until now, while Akane at the very least was in the Passion Gokigen Party Night. By this reasoning, I predict Nina or Momoka will have a song next.

As for my actual preference... I haven't actually heard that many CG songs so I wouldn't know.

At this point, I feel like Namco is doing whatever they want that they pull out of a hat in terms of song selection.

For all we know, the next song could be Yui's of all things.

PSA, if you have one of the Android phones able to run the Android N developer preview, don't flash it if you intend to play games with (somewhat) serious touchscreen timing like deresuta.
Like most developer previews out there, it's not 100% optimized, and has a number of performance issues.
That translates into regular tiny lag spikes that may even mess with audio and note sync, even in low 2D mode, which is an issue unless you're on Debut difficulty.

Tested on Nexus 6P and build NPC56P.

Other than that, the game seems perfectly compatible. Some of the others apps I had weren't, so props for that. And N itself is great.

In other news: At what level is Romantic Now unlocked? It's stuck in my head for some reason.

Thanks, ChocoCats.

Still on Android N, most performance issues seem to be fixed with build NPC56W. Had a sync issue in the middle of Orange Sapphire Pro, which was corrected by forcing a resync with pause/resume. Wasn't able to reproduce it.

That's cool. With luck they'll be part of the next batch of CDs ^^

I wonder if there will be other idols that will join them for the new song (probably will be voiced idols like Momoka, Arisu, Nina or Miria, but it would be cool if unvoiced like Mai or Yukimi could earn a voice actress for this song ^^)

With Kaoru and Chie in this upcoming song, I can make a safe assumption that the two are high contenders for next batch debut cds.

Wonder who the 3 other group members will be.

With Snow Wings, my guess is:

Chie
Haruna
Kaoru

PLUS
Takumi (only election winner without a CD)
and another cute (Probably Yukari since this is a pretty energetic batch)

Today Takumi got a new SSR card plus a 3d model with the costume, so that increases her chances for a CD debut (awesome!!! :D :D )
Yeah those five are my next prediction for the next batch of Cinderella Master (Yukari would be amazing and she has also her own SSR card in Starlight Stage, although not a 3d model) crossing fingers for Yukari, Chie, Haruna, Takumi and Kaoru making a CD debut ^^

Yukari doesn't have a SSR, only an event SR iirc. It wouldn't make sense to have a SSR without a 3D costume.

For my part, I'd really like to have new girls debuting with voices, especially Mirei. Oh, and also Chiaki, Kana and the New Wave trio.

I would prefer Yukari as her personality and song style would be different compared to the other chosen idols for next batch (Takumi, Chie, Kaoru and Haruna), besides from my personal opinion I found Yukari's cuter than Rina (I don't like Rina too much xd) Besides both Yukari and Rina earned their voice actresses at the same time, but Yukari earned a voiced card in the Cinderella Girl game before Rina, so team Yukari xd

Ehhh, personal preferences.  ::)

But yeah I agree tho, for variety's sake, I think they'd rather go for Yukari.  We also already have quite a few gyarus types anyways, heck we just had one last batch lol.  I just thought the chances for my little kinpatsu Rina to get a CD would've been higher if she were paired with Takumi.  Ah, the frustration of wanting your girls to debut, feelin' it.(for the first time XD)

I think the chances aren't that high if Rina debuts alongside Takumi (I really doubt they'll mention each other during their drama talk, nor they would make a cameo in that either xd)
I had that feeling with Yumi years ago xdd

Minami and Aiko event stars up tonight, I think. I might actually skip this one though, it all depends on if I like the song enough to sit through three other random songs to play it. Medley events are rough... in so many ways.

All in all, pretty hyped! Another side note, I'm getting dangerously close to being an S rank producer! Its seems as though most of the producers I have in my friends list are already SS rank though, it makes me feel really slow... ;_;

Here is my deresute-id-card-thing if anyone wants to add me as a friend :D

If I like the card enough I'll try and rank... Aiko is near the bottom of my list so if I do play I'll be going for Minami.

But if the song isn't worth it I'll sit it out. I think I echo most of the fandom when I say medley events are the worst type. Dedicating a 10 minute chunk to play four songs with none of the rewards isn't my idea of a fun event.

I'd rank it Caravan (due to the randomness) > Token > Medley.

I hear ya on that one. I think caravans are the better event as well, save for that very first one with syoko as the event reward. I got so many honokas and the rare (i think it was saionji, iirc (probably wrong)). I never got the syoko card to drop, and I was using a 10 star rare. I'm so glad we can now just gather medals/tokens and just trade them in for the SR in caravan events

Another thing I like about the caravans they don't disrupt my usual play time, and I don't ever have to feel the constant pressure and fear of being knocked out of the tier I'm gunning for. Plus if I'm lucky enough, and I was once, all the event cards dropped for me within the first hour of the caravan lol.

Proving that Scamco hates us...

There's a new campaign lasting the next couple of days where if you pay (around 3100 yen) for a 10-draw gacha, you get a ticket that you can redeem for a card of your choice. There are Rares and SRares available but you can also get almost any SSR + the bonus outfit for that girl + the room decoration.

(The game tracks what Star Jewels are bought and which are free so you can't save up your free ones).

Available girls only, limited SSRs (Kaede, Miria, TAKUMIN, Chieri, etc.) are exempt.

I was between Minami and Shiki and went with the latter. Minami's outfit is prettier but I'm a much bigger fan of Shiki so I grabbed her. I also got the new Koume from a pull... Not a huge fan but her outfit is adorable except for her giant sleeve.

So I now have 3 SSRs... Lol

Question on the idol commus
are the commus in CGSS in line with the story from the original game CG? or are they different?
If they are the same, can we consider the commus as canon and update the wiki as such?
Title: Re: THE iDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls: Starlight Stage
Post by: Maka on May 28, 2016, 02:55:07 PM
CG canon is such a weird thing because characters have changed so much... Like, Miku was much more tsundere initially, Anya spoke without much of an accent, and other stuff. A lot of the wiki pages do list Deresute material as canon tho. I think it should be, seeing as how we learn so little about the characters' backgrounds in normal CG.

To answer your question there's no real difference in the stories.

New song for the live groove is Junjou Midnight Densetsu starring Rina and Takumi. Might just need to try and rank if Takumi is the ranking SR...

From i heard in the interviews of the previous Idolm@ster Producer , he said the anime and Deresute dont have a same storyline. Maybe there are some conection with the anime like the references to the groups like NG or Dekoration.

I was quite impress for the Love Destiny's MV.  It's more like a music video rather than live. It's also interesting to see that the middle three acts like a sub and the two on the corner is the main.
The stage settings are gorgeous. Excited to see more different things in the future.

Would definitely love to have Costumes as either gatcha or rewards.
Mixer gatcha (discard 3~5 cards with same rarity, and get new one that aren't the same one that you just discarded) would also be great.

Now that they have added dormitories, I guess that's all from me.
I am totally fine without the costume gatcha and mixer gatcha, though.
The team is doing great as far as systems go.

My biggest wish is to have a better writer. That's all.

Any thoughts on the new event? I like it, you get 2 diffrent sr girls without having to rank (and you get a bunch to get high star levels if you do all extra missions), the missions are fun and you can choose which songs you play and so on. I want more live parades xD

Any thoughts on the new event?

Live Parade was a neat concept and it was actually fun to travel around the prefectures.
I though it would be fun if you select a prefecture, an idle from that place would say something or gain boost. Of course, for this to work out fair, we need to be able to go to other countries as well.
I think Live Parade has lots of potential to be much better.

I cleared all ex missions and only had 3 ssr at that time. you can switch the songs, so you wouldn't have to do tokimeki, or at least not on master. I changed it to I believe magic, so I still could clear the mission but that is not the problem, you just have to know how to switch songs and difficuties

So I was playing a medley from the LIVE Groove Event, and I almost hit 1000 combo but just before I hit the 1000th note, I hit a GREAT. ...And it broke my combo.

I didn't believe it was real at first, but then the results came.

Welp.

Have any of you come across this before? Is this a glitch or is this supposed to happen in game (i.e. you're full comboing but combo will break after the 4th great)

Either way, I sure as heck don't feel like grinding now... :(

No maybe you just where an inch late?
I have a full combo on most of the medleys I played.
But I know the beatmaps of each songe really well because I played most of them about 100 times (and yes I am doing this for the star jewels...)

but even when I not full combo (when there are songs which are really hard for me on master ) I can at least geht a 1200 combo
maybe try changing the tempo of songs you are not too good on ( I am most of the time playing at 9.5 speed)

yeeeeah, see, problem is I'm playing on pro bc I haven't played in a year and have only FC'd one master song so far (I'll get there one day) so I don't have a choice but to FC every song. Most of the time what happens is I'm playing a song I don't know too well and miss maybe one or two notes, or I get nervous and choke at the last second. Or missed sliders which I totally hit, game. >.>

Anyway, enough of my salt, I'm most comfortable playing songs on 5-6 speed. Any higher or lower I'm just not as used to. I was really only wondering if the reason I broke combo was because of an actual in-game mechanic I'd never heard of. Guess not. *shrugs*

if I contacted support do you think they'd have sympathy for me? *shot*

the best would be if you trainied the songs, you even have 3 reharsal tickets a day to train, or just play the songs between events so you get used to them. I did that (without the tickets because they were not there when I had the problem XD) It is the safest way to get to the 1000 combo... or put a lot of idols with perfect lock and so on in your team

Didn't they introduce a new skill in the game called Concentration that broke your combo for getting a Great and rewarded you for getting Perfects? Aiko's Jounetsu FunFare SR introduced it (not sure what other cards have it) and as much as I love Aiko (she's my best girl) I can't stand using it =P

Few recent event points SR have the Concentration skill such as Nocturne Ryo and Sakura no Koro Karin. For SSR; Akane or Hiromi's permanent SSR owns the skill.

Not the best skill for me, but I guess Perfect Combo'ers will find that skill useful for the score boost.
