The Difference between IM@S + Dream Club + TimeLeap?
« on: July 16, 2009, 11:45:32 AM »
Well I've noticed a lot of 'dancing' games around. I'm not sure if the other two were created simply for the fact of trying to beat iDOlM@ster or just because dancing games seem to be the rage.

I know that the characters would be the obvious difference.

But could someone explain if Dream Club and Time Leap (is that even a similiar game? I saw some videos...) follow the same kind of story line, or is it basically dancing with no under story?

if this even makes sense XD

Dream Club is a hostess club game, where you pay money to spend time with the various girls.
The dancing part in this game comes into play when the girls do karaoke.

Time Leap is originally a PC hentai game, which featured a dance video as a bench marker.
On the 360, they took out the hentai portions and made it a regular visual novel game.
The bench marker is still in, and you can even try it out on the demo from the Japanese XBLA market.

So, Dream Club= you make the story, while Time Leap already has one (well, the standard multiple routes in visual novels).

So in conclusion those games are really NSFW.

Though Time Leap is the obvious one.
Got time? Know Japanese, then please help out with the translation project!

Well the Time Leap game is just a normal visual novel in the 360 (like they do with almost every console port) so if you happen to have a 360 there then its not so bad... I think...

Dream Club is basically idolm@ster with bigger boobs.

In all seriousness, a lot of the DC waitresses look A LOT like IM@S idols. Setsu is a Futami clone, there's no arguing it. Brown hair, short, loli voice, pigtail to the side (!?!), etc.. Chihaya and Ritsuko also have clones, and there's even an Azusa with pink hair (and fleshy basketballs hanging off her chest).

I'm sure the game has merits (I like a few of the songs), but they could have done a lot more original character development :\

Hey, look, it's Ami!

and Makoto!!

and Haru--okay, it doesn't look like Haruka but there's still the ribbon thing going on.

and Chihaya...

"Setsu" and "Nao" have to be the most painfully obvious ripoffs ever. o_o

the real difference between Dream Club and iM@S is the style of the graphics. *shot*
but by the looks of it, you'd be better off getting iM@S...

Everyone calm down...D3 was bought out by Bandai Namco earlier this year, so it shouldn't be that surprising that something this similar is being released by them.

Time leap, sometimes being misunderstood for a dancing sim game because of that benchmark only...
although for the sequel, time leap paradise, it will really be some sort of dancing sim eroge... well, it's still eroge nonetheless...

but the problem is, it always got delayed... at first, it was scheduled to be released on april, and later i checked, it's delayed to end of july... and just now i check it again, it's delayed again to end of august...

Even if D3 was bought out by Namco, the game must have been in development for much longer than half a year.

Additionally, it's not like Namco took the character designer out of his chair, threw him out the nearest window, and replaced him with their own. Their buying probably had no direct effect on this game. It's still lazy character designer's fault.

By the way, it's funny that a robot/android be a hostess in Dream Club. XD And a pirate (eye-patched)

The differences are already stated, however with the release of TimeLeap's sequal, it seems more like Dream C Club and iDOLM@STER now. TimeLeap Paradise, it is to be released near the end of August and it's a PC title. It's basically the same thing as the original TimeLeap but with more dancing, singing, and now with interactive H-scenes. It should also be noted that in Dream C Club, the main idea is to get the girls drunk enough so that they'll reveal insecurities about themselves (Yeah, that's very knight-like Mr. Protagonist).
Ah posts. A false representation of one's intellect, logical understanding, and veterancy of the internet.

Getting Ami Setsu drunk seems kind of illegal

It's just a game, and therefore it's not pedo if it's not real.
