IMO i think the stage performace is a little ....lolwut
i understand its the DS but ...no shading? ;__;
the mouth synch was pretty unexpected considering that its not hard to synch music with a dot and a circle, though i dont know why they didnt do it for the sp.

also, unlike SP they have those colorful song titles when the stage performance starts like in the xbox version. also theres a few custom stages that are all different, unlike SP which just uses a wallpaper.

Its Namco Bandai you are talking about. That eccentric Namco Bandai. Sometimes they just do things as they liked and we can't comprehend about why they did this and that.

For all the graphic side the DS can't handle they'll have to add something else to distract you, like the mouth sync.

Also if they didn't change some small things from SP, people won't purchase it.

Before the big reveal, I figured this was the most likely, if any, of the titles that had a shot of making it over to the US.
They could've tried marketing it to little girls or something along those lines.

But now, there's definitely no chance at all.

Because one of them is a trap!

What does having a trap have to do with the game's rating?

What about kids with two dads?

How does America handle stuff like this?

From my times spent in the Great Wikipedian Archives, I know that a children's picture book handling issues about same-sex marriage got bashed by the PTA and Christian moms in the US.

[edit]
I am comparing a DS game to a children's picture book, because kids these days read The Very Hungry Caterpillar while playing Contra on the DS.

Huh, interesting analogy there.

Personally, I find the new characters are among the most interesting in Im@s... they are certainly unique characters, for sure.

By the way, if I recall correctly, after Ryo was revealed to be a boy, sales and preorders for the game had gone up dramatically. Also, I believe the producer and director of the game liked Ryo the best of the three 876 idols.

So I guess Japan likes their traps, huh?

Maybe the US can answer the question better than I do.

Well, from my point of view, Ryo doesn't look too much of a special idol to me. "She" had that bobbed hair of sorts, loved to do housework and everything(kinda common) so i was kinda eyeing Eri and Ai more, especially Ai in particular.

BUT NOW. Ryo is a boy. That's ****ing win. I am seriously intrigued as to how a male idol is going to perform in an industry that's said to be forbidden to males. I think a lot of others are interested as well.

Looking at Ryo reminded me of several other characters in animes that looked like they are 1 gender, but is actually the other.

The only thing Contra can teach kids is: get hit by anything, fall over and die.
Unless they're playing on hard mode, they'll never learn anything from men so no harm is done eheheheh...
