I played through Chihaya's EX episode 3 but I still have to rank up then beat Leon. So for now here's everything but the ending. I'll edit the ending on later, sorry I couldn't do it all at once. For now this will be a bit less lengthy than the others.

Chihaya competes in a fes where Leon is watching. After performing Leon shows up and praises Chihaya quite a bit. She says rather than long time no see it's more like meeting a new Chihaya who isn't as weak and held back by her past. However she says that Chihaya is mistaken as an idol. She compares Chihaya to a German story. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pied_Piper_of_Hamelin Chihaya becomes worried and wonders what Leon meant. Next week Chihaya is still pondering what Leon said and decides to ask "the greatest idol" for another perspective. This ends up being Haruka. Chihaya asks what Haruka thought about her performance. Haruka says it's cool and a very Chihaya ish song. However she said Chihaya's face looked scary at one part. Haruka says that the line "despite struggling I'll walk onwards" suited Chihaya and that she should sing it more normally. Chihaya realizes that Saihyou is not supposed to be a sad song about her past, but a song about heading towards the future. Chihaya's not really sure about her future as it isn't concrete like the past or present. Next week Chihaya is at a live. She decides that she should view how the audience reacts. After she noticed the crowd isn't happy. She realizes that like the story leading kids to death, her song is dragging her fans into her sad past and making them sad too. She says she needs more time to think about her future. Later she says that her future is for her present life to continue on like this. Next week she rematches Leon. Leon notices Chihaya has changed again and is now a worthy foe.

So with the last EX Episode pack released and a patch sent out recently for the game, here's what I can say:

- The final match against Leon for the individual episodes is a VERY rough battle if you aren't fully prepared... and is probably still rough even after that. I managed to outdo her with an S2 Yukiho at Level 40, but I literally needed to rank up from S3, get a perfect combo, AND find a very specific way to abuse the AI that changed almost every other time I played. I imagine taking her on with the S1 rank-up completed (which is against MAI and something I haven't even attempted yet) would make it smoother, but I think you still need to be mindful of counters and bursting at the right time.

- Maybe I'm silly for expecting more from it, but all you seem to get from it is Leon's new song and extend... which can't even be mixed with her original outfit and Acceleration. Considering this carries over for every idol and only unlocks after that last challenge, I'm pretty disappointed they ended it off with this.

- There was a recent patch for the game which I think added in a "True Leon" match as a special S1 job alongside the DLC jobs. She has the same crazy burst skill that she does in the EX Episodes on top of perfect stats (literally, every bar is filled), but the format makes it far easier for me. I beat her on my first try because it's just a regular festival otherwise, so it's just a matter of spamming memories like crazy. There's no additional prize as far as I know, just bragging rights and more job rewards if that makes you happy.

Since i'm at my parent's home atm i couldn't download the DLC yet (will do that tomorrow evening). You said there was a patch that added a Leon S1 job, is there also an S1 All Star Live at the end of Summer/Winter now? That one is really missing imo. And if it is there, what's the score requirement?

bah, it seems some children didn't get the spanking they deserve on christmas, and now they are trying to get attention

I can't use the japanese PSN store, the service is down, i guess it's due to another attack. at first i got in, i managed to buy the stuff, but i could only download the catalog, and none of items, i hoped to get yukiho's EX episodes at least... but since then i can't even get into the store, it says it's on maintenance.

So the final Leon match doesn't get easier, it seems. I was just trying it out with Chihaya (4 memories, unfortunately), and Leon's AI differed drastically between Chihaya's S3 and S2 ranks. In particular, she has no qualms with abusing memories from the start in S2, which is just terrible. Maybe I play too close to the edge with these, but my slacking off on leveling is really going to make this annoying...

I don't see an S1 Live, though I didn't clear the S2 one yet. I'll see what pops up in the next season.

in the meantime i managed to download the DLC, so far i have only finished Yukiho's story.

The S1 rank up festival is somehow strange. The enemies burst skill is the same as Ai's in a very early rank up festival: Your appeals only give 10 points during their burst. But nevertheless, i somehow lost the first attempt at the rank up, i still don't know how... In the second attempt i easily won the first 2 songs...

I didn't have any trouble at all beating Leon with Yukiho, but she was S1 rank (no special new skills there), lvl 45 with 5 memory appeals. I just used the memory 4 times while making sure Leon had some voltage gauge i could kill with it. Then ultimate burst and from there on just bursting whenever possible. Fortunately she didn't use her memory appeals before i got off my ultimate appeal. I can see how the fight against her gets difficult if she does or when you have less memory appeals, but 4 have to be enough.

Couldn't check the all star live yet either, since i was in the autumn season.

And it looks like at level 50 you'll have the exact number of skill points you need to buy all skills, which wasn't the case at the end of the first 2 DCL packs.

Seems like One for All has been added to Japan's "The Best" titles, and has therefore been lowered in price! Personally I'd want to wait for iM@S PS4 to come out since more and more titles are coming out but this seems like such a great deal.

And a question to English-speaking players; have you been enjoying the game even with considerably low knowledge of Japanese? I would jump at a PS3/4 but only if gameplay has been enjoyable enough for English speakers.

I know absolutely no Japanese, and I still enjoyed Idolm@ster 2. Given; I was pretty sad I couldn't understand the girls and it did make playing the main mode of the game very boring after like two playthroughs since I was just skipping through text.

Knowing Japanese is not a requirement to play the games. However, knowledge of Japanese does improve the experience of playing the games. Understanding the dialogue helps tremendously with understanding the characterization, which is a big part of the series. Even so, the games are perfectly enjoyable without being fluent in Japanese.

iM@S2 was enjoyable, though like AkuAkane said, produce mode can get very boring very quickly if you don't understand what's going on.
OFA, I find, is more enjoyable as someone with limited knowledge, and if you were a fan of one of the RK girls, you don't have that character limitation in OFA. I know some have said that it stales a bit quicker than 2.

They are still different games (on a gameplay level), though. Various mechanics changes between 2 and OFA (e.g. Burst Counters didn't exist in 2, and you could only get Memories via Promotions) mean that you can't play one game like you'd play the other.

Two big things in Chihaya's ending. Also if you want to know more about Leon I'd suggest going through all the DLC routes as the content varies. Of course it's in spoilers.
Leon mentions she also used to be like Chihaya, always looking towards the past for some revenge but eventually realized that wasn't a worthwhile thing. Leon saw that and wanted to help Chihaya. Leon tells Chihaya that she thinks that life is a great thing. Chihaya thanks Leon calling her sensei as she leaves.
Chihaya mentions she wants to become a mother in the following conversation at the very end.
---
Chihaya "Phew, we're finally at the office. What's wrong Producer?"
Producer "Look over there. There's a parent and child walking over here and I just sort of noticed. A mother and child… They're still tottering, seems kind of dangerous."
Chihaya "Ah, it's true. But they're trying with all their might… ……"
Producer "Hm, what's wrong Chihaya?"
Chihaya "…Producer, I, I maybe someday… might become a mother."
Producer "Huh?! W-What are you saying all of the sudden?"
Chihaya "S-Sorry. I just suddenly thought that while looking at them. Until now I hadn't really thought about that sort of thing, but for some reason…"
Producer "I see… Well, I think it's certainly there. That sort of future as well."
Chihaya "Producer, if I had a child… I have something I would want to tell them."
Producer "What would you want to tell them?"
Chihaya "I'd hug them. And say "I'm really glad you were born"."
