Im kinda hoping Idolmaster 3 is more like Dearly Star. Along the line of Idol PoV instead of Producer.

Hmm, that would be interesting. I am very curious about the idol's daily lives and what they do when they're not working, such as school and family.

Well then it wouldn't be called the iDOLM@STER would it?

Dearly Stars was an interesting idea, but I still feel like the spirit of the games revolves around producing or being a fan of the girls.
That's not to say that we couldn't get to learn a little bit more about their personal lives.

Some of the commu do give a little insight but they could always provide us with more.

... Come to think of it, wasn't the new concert today? Didn't the PS4 release yesterday in Japan?

Don't they like to do announcements at these sort of things? I wonder if anything has been hinted at.

Watch as PS4 IM@S will feature various Cinderella Girls, Million Live, and SideM characters to produce.

Or, you know, it could end up being horrifyingly expensive day-1 DLC.

I can imagine it now.
iDOLM@STER ALL FOR ONE- Comes with one idol randomly selected idol; the rest are DLC. 500 yen each. Oh yeah, and costumes don't carry over between idols.

Come to think of it, when I think about the possible time when PS4 Im@s will be released, two things just kinda stick out. The tenth anniversary is what... next year in July? And there's a Cinderella Girls anime coming out in winter that year?

... Will any one of my conspiracy theories be right some day? ^_^;;

Let's not rule anything out. Though for the time being, it's all speculation.

Time to begin my career in idol producion!
My random choice ends up being Miki.

(Very minor) New Info on the game!

http://www.siliconera.com/2014/05/27/idolmster-one-producer-provides-update-ps4-game/

According to Yozo Sakagami, producer for the series, iM@S PS4 is currently in the planning stages. I predict the game won't be out for another 2-3 years.

Also, don't expect a Vita game any time soon.....

2-3 years? Do devs in Japan that aren't Square-Enix even work on development cycles that long?

Actually, yes. Sonic Generations was developed right after Sonic Unleashed in 2008 and was released in 2011, Super Smash Bros. on Wii U/3DS was in development since right after Kid Icaurs Uprising was released in early 2012 with both coming out this year, Kirby's Return to Dreamland was in development since, technically, 2005 and came out in 2011. I say 2-3 years as iM@S PS4 is in the earliest possible stage of game development.

I should have added Nintendo in the exceptions list, but haven't most of the recent Sonic games been developed in the west? I know for sure that a couple of westerners penned the script for Generations.

The main Sonic games, to my knowledge, are developed in Japan in terms of overall gameplay. Scriptwriting I know is done in the West and the games are always released here first. Although the alternate continuity, Sonic Boom, IS being developed purely in the West, so there's that.

Still I'm anxious to know more about it. Will there be new girls? Will ALL the girls be new girls? New songs? 3rd vision? I'm excited!
